Yesterday's game completely justifies NMs decision to rest players

He's kicked more goals this year than he ever did at Carlton, has performed previously in finals and when on song is near impossible to stop.
North have never said he was going to be the answer or a superstar but yesterday showed again why they got him.
All the talk has been around Higgins being the recruit of the year (his AA squad selection justifiably reflects this) but as far as value, remembering we got Waite for nothing, he's been a deadset steal and shut a few people up.

Has he piled on some weight this season or is it the guernsey colours?

Cant say they dont deserve to be there, but they are clearly the worst team in the eight imo.

no doubt about it, they played well. Still reckon it says more about richmond than north that Richmond finished 5th and lost though.

And cheers for pointing out when i was wrong. I guess that makes it cool for me to do the same for you now?

I get the meaning behind the comment but it's always going to say a lot about a side if they drop two finals in a row under the current system.

But North have done well IMHO. The guys they've picked up in recent years seem to keep proving themselves. But I wonder whether it's doing anything but keeping North competitive. Both ends of the ground are solid but not outstanding. But the midfield is interesting. They have a couple really good inside mids that will always be competitive, especially as long as Goldstein is the benchmark of the competition for rucks. But once the ball is won I wonder who does the damage. Wells SHOULD have been the bloke and with Harvey they could have lit up a premiership midfield. But without that superstar calibre damaging player it all looks a bit too workmanlike. Without getting into the top 5 on draft day it gets harder for any side not named Collingwood, Hawthorn or Sydney to find (or poach) one.

You could almost say Crowitis, competitive yet never really a genuine premiership threat.

Thats why i still wonder with Eddy Betts in the long run is it a great move for the club if they dont make at very least a prelim while his there.

The way the AFL is set up if you dont win a flag you might as well have the next bunch of kids out there that will be there when you win your next flag.

Been very good for the crows. No question about that. Maybe it was the cost to get him in terms of cap space. But that could be argued that he is worth he space based on his performance. I would suggest that yes he has earned his money and been an excellent pick up.
