Always hits the spot. A nice place to eat at but we tend to go the home order once a month these days.

Fed 3 of us to the brim last night for $67. Pretty standard. They do all the popular favourites and do them well. Never had a bad dish except when my wife orders bloody bok choy.

It's the best Chinese/Asian food around the Ingle Farm and surrounding area for mine. 8/10

Recently lived in the pooraka area and I agree. Quan Ngon was always tasty.

Never actually ate in, although it looks a lot nicer inside than it does out. But they certainly learned our address from all the menu log orders.

Yep we menu log it as well. Easy as, no cash handling and pretty good system. It's also hilarious to see the little Asian delivery girl crap her dacks every time my giant black dog sees her. She just wants to say hello :)

Going up to mount lofty house for a weekend of relaxing before the baby is due.

Any good food recommendations?

Nicer places would be good, as it will probably be the last time in a while!

Looks like mount lofty house is in the entertainment book so that looks a goer for one night, but somewhere else either in the eastern suburbs or hills would be good

Findon Hotel

Had lunch there on Saturday, with a group of around 18 of us. They've introduced a new "$12 Lunch Menu" which some of our group ordered from, but they were a bit taken aback when told if they would like salad with it, it's an extra $2. Those that did order from that menu received smaller portions than those ordering the same from the main menu. The meals all came out in the wrong order, which wasn't a biggy for the group but might be for some other punters.

I had the S&P squid which was really well cooked and tasty enough, but was pretty much standard pub far. The missus had a Pork and Mash thing, but there was that much fat on the thing it hardly brushed her lips (I knew how it felt) and she left most of it. The lass serving us was bright abd bubbly and great with the kids, and was probably the highlight of the experience.

Not terrible, but certainly not great. Would only eat there when the food is intended to run a distant second to a session on the slops with mates.

Bit late with this one, but a week and a bit ago caught up with mates for lunch at the Metropolitan in the city.

Having never been there before it was nice to check out a new place, especially a city pub which I always enjoy.

Menu range wasn't huge but there was plenty of appeal among the options, and the specials board looked pretty good too. Pricing appeared reasonable aswell, with a steak being the highest price (but still sub $30 IIRC) down to the roast of the day (Pork) at $8. A mate grabbed that one and it looked a decent meal.

I went with the Jalapeno Lamb Burger with Swiss Cheese, and the thing was freaking awesome. Wasn't actually that hungry so had only intended eating a half, but was so nice I polished it off.

Maybe it was the Friday factor I don't know, but there was a good vibe around the place .. Staff were friendly and efficient, and it all added to an enjoyable experience.

Last weekend I had a sunday arvo session at the Exchange in Gawler.

They have just completed some renovations, and they now have a big new dining area with a new bar there too.

It looked totally out of place for Gawler - in a good way. Wouldnt look out of place on melbourne street.

Food was pretty decent too - we got a few things off their tasting menu to share, and it was all very good - except the potato skins were just fried potatoes! They were still very nice though.

Great place to sit on the deck of an arvo and watch the footy too. Combined with some different beers that i hadnt tried before, it was great.

With the Golden Fleece, Prince Albert, and now the Exchange, Gawler is really stepping up its pub game.

Apparently what used to be the terminus has also been renovated but i havent been out there yet

Went there 10 years ago and it was crap then, said I would never come back. Looks like it was a good call.

Cremorne hotel for lunch on Saturday, my only complaint was there was too much food on the plate and for me that is amazing.

Great waiter we had, very attentive and worked hard.

Will be back again soon.

Parisi's at Hyde Park, which serves mostly Italian food.

Nice garlic bread, 2 delicious main course pastas and 2 excellent desserts, with a nice glass of wine each and a good coffee. Cost just over $100 for the 2 of us.

Experience was added to by being able to watch the Crows getting demolished.

9 out of 10.

Tried Pasta a Go-Go on the Parade. 2 for 1 in the ent book made it $13.20

Resembled Authentic pasta, tasted alright. Certainly worth $6.60 a box. Ready in 7 minutes. I had the Fettucine Marinara and I have had worse at pubs and cafés. Mrs had Penne Carbonara and it ticked the box.

Worth it with the voucher but without the price would blow out a bit with the many $2 additional extras. You wouldn't want to pay $17 for a box of pasta.
