I think it's died down now, but apparently they were offering 5-6 years on big money

I wonder how legit some of these offers are.

Surely it's a tactic from each club to throw out a number when players are looking to resign, to push that players contract figure up internally, thus closing up the clubs cap space to stop that club from placing large FA offers on players from opposing clubs?

Watching it on Channel 7 today.

I'm genuinely shocked at how boring Ken Hinkley is, he'd put me to sleep before a game, not inspire me to win. Travis Boak speaks much better.

AFL senior coaches don't need to be 'interesting' any more, just intelligent and hard working. If you need to be inspired to play, you're not ever likely to play at a reasonable level. If Kenny wins us a flag, I don't care how boring you think he is...

Yeah fair enough and I know Gen Y have to be treated to Gen Xers/Baby Boomers otherwise they'll cry, was just genuinely surprised.
Thomas was boring as batshit too but as I said I was impressed by Boak.
Maybe it was the production, I was spoilt with the behind the scenes series on Fox about the Queensland Reds, Central Coast Mariners and Thunderbirds.

Dont shoot me down and this isnt a dig at Port, but i think some people at Port believed the pre-season hype about a flag coming to Alberton and decided to do this "fly on the wall" doco which would showcase Port bring home the Premiership. Nothing against them for doing it, its always a good chance to see what happens behind closed doors and i enjoy watching them, it just has that feel that a few off field staff thought the flag was pretty much in the bag and they better document the best way they could think of

Wouldn't mind betting the Crows do the exact same thing next season.

Good onya Ruben. That reply is the exact reason why you're no better than the "Typical Cows fans" that many bag (and fair enough) on a continuous basis.
