Well done to the Bloods, they obviously deserve a flag especially after 32 years and sorting out their off field issues!

Mickan too deserves success after being through many years of playing at average clubs and coaching now at his third club.

It's good for what is left of our comp just no need for the two Cancers to be playing finals ever!

The Eagles will be back, we always are and you Dreamers/ Creamers from the clubs that don't or can't ever win..... keep stroking

Congratulations Bloods. Thiele, R&B, MW etc....enjoy your night and summer ahead. Patience has paid off!

Thanks

Thanks mate. Thought the same @Booney I could not believe the freedom Schmidt got on the half back and wings and Porps across half back. They clamped down a little on Schmidt in the second half then Porps took over.

Well done Westies, by far the better team on the day, and the better club over the last couple of weeks - to be able to cover your big outs last week was a huge effort, and we weren't even able to cover a couple of mid-range players.
You blokes were too tough in the clinches all day. Schmidt, 44 touches in a GF is an amazing effort.
Happy for that group who have been loyal to their club for a number of years now, Caire, Green, Beech, Fielke, Webb, Hill, Schmidt, Hartlett and probably a few others I've missed.

Seemed a weird game. We were always on the back foot and it was hard to pick a winner for us, but I didn't think the margin flattered us apart from perhaps a miss or two at the end. And West only kicked 11 goals, but I thought our backline was ordinary, panicky and unsure. Thought Allmond tried hard but hard to give him to many kudos when the midfield was so comprehensively beaten. Wundke was good in the first half.

This will seem contradictory, but this justified what many thought a couple of years ago, West in 2012 &13 had as good a list as anyone but weren't allowed to play to their strengths. However, this year I thought they'd finish 9th and Eagles 7th, with a Sturt/Norwood GF.

I haven't seen who the club gave as the best for us but I think Wundke probably headed the list. The big fella couldn't have done much more. Boyd played a decent game and the coach should have had the confidence to start him in the square from the first bounce. Schwarz did his best to try and be that inside midfielder and did a few nice things but obviously isn't in the class of a Schmidt (few are). Allmond did ok but again didn't get enough of the ball. Giuffreda had his moments. Not too many after that. Just an all-round disappointing team performance.

Yeah, Boyd and Schwarz did okay, but only okay.
Paper gave, in order, Wundke, Schwarz, Jarrad, Allmond.
Sad day when Wundke can be our best for that sort of game, West would have had 7-8 before you'd even think of naming one of ours.

I thought Boyd was the most likely Eagle to bring them back into the game, looked quite lively in the second half, but didn't have enough mates.

It did, however he was one of very few to put his head over it.

Was a strange performance from the Eagles, lots of players standing back waiting for someone else to do the dirty work. Nobody seemed to do anything about Schmidt or Porplyzia. Hartlett was clearly struggling with his quad yet Ainger and Wundke couldn't get into space off of him.

It's one thing to lose a GF, it's another to know you didn't give it a crack. The Eagles have got the second part to deal with.

Im not a fan of the bloke, but he's been a bloody good player and I noticed him more around the stoppages in the 2nd half
