Talk the Trelor deal with Collingwood may fall through with Carlton then being the winner via the ND.

Hasnt got there yet ;)
$700k x 5 years is pretty steep IMO

Steep??!! It's nearly vertical!

Maybe paying a little bit of overs but hopefully he returns 10 fold for the next 8-10 years.

Really liking the moves we are trying to make to get us back into finals contention quicker.

We gonna play him down back mainly and i reckon the fresh start will help him get back to his earlier form.

Even in form he is a sook. He will be an asset when everything is going ok but drops his bundle pretty quick

Lol, that doesn't make sense. GWS would get nothing for him then.

Obviously. Collingwood have a first rounder and the next years second on offer and the GWS are holding out for a better deal. Wont happen as its a fair offer and the risk of losing him for nothing is real.

GWS and Pies have a good trading relationship after the Shaw/Adams deal, I'm sure they'll reach an agreeable conclusion to the Treloar trade. I just hope it's sorted out early in the trading period.

Sensing youre a bit butthurt over Freeman Q. What's the story did he spit the dummy or does he just think that Treloar's possible arrival might keep him in the VFL?

Rumour is he didn't take his rehabbing too seriously (on the piss etc), but apparently he thinks it will be hard work trying to crack the best 22 at Collingwood. We offered him a performance based contract, which, if he did regularly play seniors, would have ended up slightly more than the Saints contract. The Saints contract is a guaranteed sum of money though, and given their lack of depth, he's likely to slot into the team straight up too.

I'm butthurt because it's a waste of a top 10 pick and in hindsight could have gone with someone like Cripps instead. We'll take the second round pick on offer, it's a shame the draft is very shallow though.

I did always think there was more to the story than him simply getting into the 22.
