Ian Callinan took home the highly coveted Ravens' B+F award. In keeping with the theme of B+F winners at the club, he will not be there next season.

Marlon Motlop won North's best and fairest from Cameron Craig and Todd Miles. In a dismal year Marlon stood out like a beacon. He has completely turned his football around.

Cameron Craig runner-up is a bit of a surprise, to me, but he is a pretty reliable defender...

With due respect to Cameron it shows what a disastrous year North had. He would have struggled to make North's best side. It would be interesting to see how many games each North player played this year. In addition to a change in coach I trust that there is a change in fitness regime

Gee Thommo has had a great year. After the last couple of years I wasn't sure he'd be able to get through this one but he turned that idea around. Still a sneaky chance of 300 games. Been a while since we had someone clock up 300 with one club. Not many more deserving to do it IMHO and maybe the last for a long time to come.

I think that the 1922 and 1923 PAFC best and fairest winners Clem and L.C. Dayman were brothers.
