Yep, this years and next years first round picks

Not sure how I feel about that.

I think you have done ok. Last year you brought in Adams and now Trelor. These are good you midfielders you habe brought in.

Just a shame they have no decent forwards to kick to.[/quote]
Talk already of next years draft being a super draft and the Pies wont have a pick inside 20, O'Meara and Prestia also coming up for grabs.

A touch pessimistic, but giving away top ten picks in 2015 and 2016 means we kill any chance of drafting a decent key forward.

Exactly. Our only way back in to the top of the draft next year is to give up something valuable.

I’d be happy with that as a Cats fan. Getting the trade done early also enables the Crows to use those picks to make other trades

At the end of the day, better than only pick 14. I think both sides "win"

Absolutely. Better than the free agency compo. Probably not as much as you would want but better none the less.

Yeah of course they did. It was just a matter of the screwing severity mate and it was on the lower end of the scale. Most people understand that...

I think initial thoughts are always, when a star goes, that the club they are leaving gets screwed.

Dunno, if Dangerfield was in the draft he would go No. 1.

Closest thing you can compare this to is the Judd trade and WCE got picks 3 & 20, Crows get 9 & 28.

Obviously they got Josh Kennedy also, Gore has a bit to do to make this one look like a win for the Crows.

I'm sick of people comparing a free agent leaving with the likes of Judd, Beams etc. I'm a little embarassed for them actually that they don't understand the difference.

No difference once the Crows matched the offer.

I don't think it was ever, at any point, going to end up a win for the Crows. i think they've done well and have every chance of grabbing a slider at Pick 28.

Actually, they never officially matched any offer. Both clubs agreed to take it straight to the trade table.
