4 I think

Dangerfield
Scott Selwood - Deal done under RFA
Zac Smith
Henderson - Rumors of next years 1st draft pick (Which is overs I think)

How many have they delisted/retired off the main list?

Are Geelong any closer to their next premiership by recruiting all these players? You're not going to say no to Dangerfield don't get me wrong but filling up spots on your list with the remaining blokes to me seems like a quick fix to maybe get you a final or 2 tops for the next couple years rather than a long term, structured plan for success. Could be wrong but time will tell.

I reckon they think (they maybe right) that they still have enough top end talent ala Selwood, Hawkins, Bartel, Taylor, Motlop, Lonergan that adding these players puts them right back in the mix to sneak another premiership in.

Interesting point. Personally don't think they have enough genuine depth week in/ week out across some parts of the ground to push for a premiership any time soon.

Biggest one for mine is Hawkings and believe it or not Stanley. For mine there Geelongs most important players in 2016. It's clear they've recruited for now. I like the look of the midfield especially Caddy and Duncan I think they'll have breakout years. You know what you get out of Selwood, Danger Etc and Zac Smith is a very good ruckman.

The back is still sound although for probably only another year or 2 max and small forwards/mids in Mensel and Motlop are as good as any. So to kick the big scores for mine Hawkings must start living up to his wage and Stanley to continue to improve because if Mitch Clarke performs Stanley could fall back in the pack.

Obviously ridiculous early but I think they've gone ok. Think they'll finish bottom half of the 8.

One of the flogs on Triple M tonight has them as a genuine contender to Hawthorn. Thought that sh!t was only for the crows.

That was Darren 'I'm the worst coach the redbacks have ever had Chuck' Berry. Total flog.

He basically said they'll open favorites. Idiot.

They'll still open behind Hawks, Swans, Eagles, Freo and Port. Probably the same line as the Roos and Tigers.

Yeah, Dangerfield would be hating all that publicity, wouldn't he?  he always tried to be anonymous in Adelaide...
