I know we have a few returning players which is nice as their Zero Pointers in Munn, Ben Yeomans and Wendledorn (whos coaching the 2s as well).
By all accounts have lost Hitchcock and De Visser to somewhere. Have picked up some bloke from Kadina who played with Munn also.

How is Wendles going to handle coaching the 2s the fronting up in the 1s each week? Time management could be pretty hard to juggle there

Anymore rumblings from Ironbank on the issue of dropping to Div. 2 ? I understand that some influential Ironbank people are pushing this barrow.

Wont be a problem Jumbo.

This what they'll do....they'll nominate all five sides, then (say) a week before round 1 will withdraw whatever side they cant field. By this stage it will be too late to change the programme, so the season will continue with them in Div 1.

I believe he will coach till 3 quarter time then someone will take over for the last quarter so he can warm up for the A grade.

No more rumblings, a few people were just sick of losing and anyway with the revamp of the competition in 2017 we will probably end up in in div 2 then.

There is also no chance TV can get a 15s team next year with a fair chunk of their 15s going up and no 13s coming up but I guess we will see what happens.

i don't know that much about the history of this comp...
but it does seem in need of a revamp.
maybe even a rub out and start again.
it seems that too many "on the fly" decisions have turned the comp into bit of a mess.
relegation, non relegation, fielding all teams, not fielding all teams.
good facilities, bad facilities, appalling facilities.

here is a question for the people that have more insight than me:
what would the result be if Kersbrook played Hahndorf??

Would have to say Hahndorf would win but wouldn't be a huge margin. The top 3 div 2 A grade sides would be very competitive in div 1 IMO.

thanks for that cracka.
so I guess the extension question is:
if they would be competitive in the top flight, why wouldn't they want to play in it??

ah thanks Alaska, that makes sense.
although it hasn't stopped Uraidla, Echunga and torrens valley.

I understand that all clubs have different motivations, and I certainly wouldn't be telling them what to do.
but I would have thought the hills leagues main agenda is to have the 10 "best" clubs playing in central every year.

(but of course the definition of best is very debatable!)

I get the feeling that in the not to distant future we will see juniors from U15's down done with different divisions to A's, B's & senior colts.
