Rules are different for people who have ancestor ties to ICC associate members.

Kevin Pietersen waited 5 years as a British passport holder to qualify

If Tom Cooper was to ever play for Australia he would no longer be able to play for the Netherlands.

Ed Joyce had to wait out 2 qualifying periods to be eligible for England then back to Ireland.

But Cossi is now counted as an overseas player at Shield level, yes?

Pretty sure you can move freely between Test playing nations and non test playing nations - Ed Joyce is a good example, went Ireland-England-Ireland

But yes, as others have mentioned, there would be a waiting period if he played for either england or australia and then wanted to change.

Not a bad squad.
All 12 have played for Australia and 10 have played tests

South Australia team:

Smith, Cosgrove, Ferguson, Cooper, Head, Ross, Lehmann, Ludeman, Zampa, Mennie, Richardson, Worrall.

Would think Lehmann 12th man, Ross maybe gets the gig just in front of him. Although Lehmann did well at end of last year, and Ross has never done anything in 2 or 4 day cricket.

Surprised Worrall got picked over Sayers, they must think Chadd needs one more game.

Has game been put back a day, starting Wednesday, thought it was scheduled for tomorrow. Maybe due to one day final?

Shame we meet NSW with full team, but will be a good test. May get some confidence even if we push them, but if we get thrashed could be a worry how they respond.

F**king Worral ahhhhhhh, no chance of Putland getting picked before him? Is he injured? Can't wait for Sayers to be back.

Will Head open the batting?

It was Premier League but meh 5 wickets is 5 wickets.......

Still it was his return to matches after being injured in the pre season.

That's more than what Franky will take in both innings.

Looked forward to getting a few sessions in over the next few days. I'm assuming the NSW team will be pretty much at full strength so it will be good to see most of the Australian team play.

Sensible not to play Sayers until he's 100%. It's a long season. Apparently he still looked a bit proppy on the weekend - not quite at full pace yet.

Putland hamstring :(

Unfortunately it's almost time to put a permanent line through him. Body just cannot handle the rigors of first class cricket.

Explains why Winter was recalled from coming home to play 2nd XI last week. They needed him as cover for the quicks.

Shame about Putland, seems to play 1 good game then misses the next 2 or 3 with injury...
