Same here. I thought he played some really good games this year.

I hope Carlton take the chance with him. He looked serviceable.

top 10 pick and 200cm

Anyone know why he didn't get more opportunity? Never really saw or heard much about him.

Possible rookie spot at one of the sa clubs?

Too lazy, didn't work hard enough and his attitude wasn't great

Could be said for most of the Gold Coast squad I think. Dixon comes with similar wraps...needs to work harder, and Burgo will make him do that.

Always thought in a decent draft Dan went a bit higher than the potential he'd shown. Still thought he'd be an OK player, but never struck me as a star type. Big lad with age on his side you'd think he'd get another go somewhere if he's committed.

Was this a surprise, or was there more too it? Thought he was quite a prized, or at least targeted, recruit for Collingwood, and he's not that old?

Bit of a surprise, but then not really as I always got the impression he was a bit lazy. He cited a desire to persue other interests.

I find that to be a strange move by the Gold Coast, with Zac Smith gone it sort out means that Nichols and Currie will be leading there rucks. Whilst both players are serviceable and Nichols is still very young I would have though Gorriange would have been very much in the running to start in round 1 as the no.1 man.

Then again there is obviously a few other issues floating about which probably makes sense.

Still worth a punt if you ask me considering a delisted free agent it wont cost you anything.

Gorringe spat the dummy last year at Port because they took Ryder over him. He said Port reneged on a deal
