Lehman and co didn't make the side in those days because we could have put 2-3 world class cricketing teams on the field at once and they would all had been in the best 5 test teams in world cricket. We can barely get 1 on the park at the moment.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Typical weather there. Doesnt look that bad tho. Maybe on and off a few times over the 5 days. Certainly wouldnt be getting sucked in backing the Draw!

Australia is undefeated in November Tests at the Gabba since 1988 so I doubt fixturing will change anytime soon.

Really looking forward to today and the series, hopefully the weather is going to be ok in Brisbane. I don't expect Australia to lose at the Gabba but I reckon the Kiwis are in with a real chance of winning the series. I think there will be results in each test and the series will finish at 2-1 either way.

I took the day off today and tomorrow. Got time off for the 3 weekday afternoons of the AO test and will work Mornings only for the Perth Test. On holidays for the WI series. My late great Father always said "it takes a very well organised man to be the right amount of lazy".

I am locked and loaded for a big Summer of cricket.....and batting, you bloody beauty

I always find that it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission, that and they have a person specifically dedicated to dealing with me.

Bingo. Winner, winner.

Although that was in straitened times for Australian cricket.
There's a book been released about those players and how WSC impacted their lives - a fascinating read.
