Salisbury and edwardstown div 4, seaton stay up with kilburn, can I ask what the difference would be between Salisbury playing div 3 and playing div 4? Why can they not afford to play div 3 but are fine in div 4? Have a feeling I know where you sit with this pag so I won't push ya mate, sets a dangerous precedent though doesn't it[*]

The precedent started 2 years ago when Brahma Lodge went to Div 5 instead of Div 3

No club would be seriously competitive in Div 3 without paying players. It has been for years and expect will be for years to come that Salibury do not pay players at all. I would assume that would be a huge reason they've ellected to play in div 4

May be a huge reason but it is a completely irrelevant reason. They finished second and their B Grade were undefeated, by far the most prepared club for Division 3 out of all clubs in Div 4 last season.

I have no issue with Salisbury and Pag is a top bloke but this is a shameful decision and the rule needs to be changed.

I hope for the sake of competitions integrity Salisbury do not dominate Div 4 and Div 4 R next year.

What's the point of playing b grade next year if salisbury are gonna stay in div 4.
A soft club if they dont go up.

I always tell people not to judge others because you don't al know what they're going through or what information they're basing their decision on. I'm also shit at taking my own advice

SOFT, SOFT, SOFT!!!

Salisbury easily have the ability to complete in div 3. They are not going to improve by playing against weak opposition each week. The money issue is bullshit, they have enough players as it is and other clubs go up the divisions with no or minimal payments.

Sounds like some of the board members are trying to be too clever by half, God knows what their reasoning is but it is wrong. If I was a player I'd be shattered. It would be like last years efforts and accomplishments were worth nothing. Salisbury FC you've let your players down!

going on what a few friends have been telling me a few clubs in div 4 have picked up some handy talent already can not wait to see the clearance list

i also expect div 4 to be a lot stronger next year then this year going on what im hearing with clubs. So could work out that salisbury could look stupid next season in the A grade if they fail to make the top 5

I believe that if you chose to stay down and not go up you should get a 6 point penalty for it! it will really make clubs think twice about staying down!

Menzel from Geelong isn't the4th best player in his family though. Tom Lipson is after Chris, Alan and Lipson iced tea.
