And Sedan-Cambrai to also join potentially.
Back to a nine-team comp if so.

Although I've heard rumblings that MK might struggle to get a side together.
Sam Hirschi one of many back to Barmera.

Good to hear Brown's Well supporting a former player who lost his home in the Pinery fires last week.
Good on them.

2000 Brown's Well grand final player. He came to BW with Adam Baker who was runner up to Shane Schulz in the medal. They both played in the midfield, Baker was a long haired rover and Butch was a solid dark haired centreman. I think Baker played one year and then played for Loxton while Butch stayed at BW for a few years before going back to Hamley Bridge.

Correct.

Butch was a product of Hamley Bridge as a junior.
Adam played for Salisbury before spending time at the CDFC and then pursuing a senior career. Bakes was a wild man.

Butch also won the Independents rookie player of the year award in one of those years (which, if I recall correctly, was seen as weird, at the time, as he was an established senior footballer).

I remember Baker, but not Butch.
They were pretty strong back in those days.
I was just coming through as a colt and remember watching our A grade struggle against them.
Wunkar was strong too from memory.
Played against them as a 16-year-old and remember getting six goals up in the last quarter only for them to run us down.

Wunkar and Brown's Well had pretty strong sides back then, you're right.

Barrell Pontt coached them in 98/99. Plussy will know who took them to the 2000 GF, might have been Barrell, but I don't think so.
I do remember Paul Burgess had a horrendous red, white and blue 'do' for the GF.

Big Leon Braun was still going then, I think. Was Goof still up forward?
Of course, Shane Schulz was coming into his prime around that time and Wunkar had some real good kids, as well.

Good to see the Bombers back up there again and only going to be stronger next year from what I understand.

That's right! I knew it was a favourite son coaching there, just couldn't quite put my finger on it.
