Not sure about this Simmons business.

Is Simmons a one year wonder? He did not do that much for us last year by memory?

That shot was terrible. I know his role is to go hard from the start, but needs to score some runs at least every third innings.

Hopefully Ludeman can keep it going at this run rate!

He's hopeless. Maybe we should give someone a go in the middle and open with MJ?

They won't drop him, he came here on good money with Multi year deal, so they will persist with him for a while.

He will make a 50 off 20 balls at some stage to keep his spot for rest of tournament!

I remember that too he was lured over from WA on a multi-year deal worth more than $100K per.

60 off 54 needed.

We should do this but is there too much Redback DNA in the Strikers? ;)

Alex Ross seriously putting his name up in lights for national honours in the shorter formats.

His Matador Cup Semi Final was a brilliant innings to watch, and his batting against the stars was unreal.

Good to see Alex repay the faith SACA have shown in him. Early on he certainly didn't bash the door down with Club performances. Can play a limited overs innings.

Alex Ross you are a star.

The lad has gone to the next level.

Too bad he didn't finish it but he has lead us to victory again. Won't be surprised to see him get a game in different coloured clothing before the seasons out.

Good win. Tried to lose it at times, but generally had the game in control.

Interesting stat that the Scorchers have lost their first game of the tournament in all 5 Big Bash's! Has not stopped them making the final every year after that though.

Yeah his limited overs cricket is of national standard. Can play a tempo innings, but can seriously hit the ball- and his variety of shots are as good as any.

Hopefully he can develop into a handy first class cricketer for the SACA too.
