Sweet baby Jesus of Nazareth. Had a succulent double cheeseburger, juicy onion rings and the tastiest fried chicken I can even remember and washed it down with an IPA. Gotta go back there asap.
Went here a couple of nights ago, and have to agree with the above.
I had a straight up cheeseburger, and the patty was absolutely delicious, and it came with a generous helping of tasty french fries to boot. Good price, around the $14 mark. Onion rings were yummy too.
Definitely subscribes to the hipster philosophy, as do most venues on Peel Street. Atmosphere was not too bad, not too noisy although it was pretty early in the evening (about 6pm-ish). I imagine it'd get quite loud in there later on a Friday night.
I'm not a fan bench-style tables where you have to eat within close proximity of other people. I know it's a more informal place, but I feel like I'm being forced to eat and socialise with complete strangers. It's worse at more 'fancy' establishments' Anyway, I digress.
Didn't try the desserts, but the ones coming out from the kitchen looked alright.
Definitely one if you love your burgers. I'm not really on who hunts out these fancy burger places, I'm happy with something sloppy from the local fish and chip shop. Having said that, it's bloody good and deserves an 8.5 out of 10.
