Gayle was asking her out for a drink and teasing her about blushing

ok, thanks.
Anyone think it was over the top?
The apology made by Howie didn't portray Gayle in a good way.

All the commenters were having a laugh when it was happening but come out and condemn it later. I think they were told to make that apology by the boss.

I think it was a bit of a joke, it probably doesn’t have a place in today’s cricket but talk of sanctioning Chris Gayle is just over the top.

There was just a touch of the famous line from Borats movie when he is being interviewed by the feminist about women having smaller brains "Smile Pussycat"

He got shot down, he looked like a fool and used a shitty pick up line on national TV to no avail.

Unfortunately to be expected from a guy that supposedly has a strip club inside his mansion.

While his countrymen chase down 3/600 every second week. Sure, he's made a lifestyle choice, good for him, but any cricketer worth a pinch of shit plays Test match cricket for their country first and foremost, especially during tough times.

It would have been ******* hilarious if she retorted with "I only have drinks with Test cricketers", but when you're so accustomed to reading from a script, you lose the ability to think quickly.

Unfortunately these blokes represent 15 countries when playing Test cricket which breeds confrontation and contempt. A lot of these countries do not like each other. I was in Kingston for the second test in 1999 and Brian Lara was roundly booed when he walked out to bat because he is from Trinidad & Tobago.

The locals did lighten up a bit when he passed 100.....

It's a very good point and one I too sometimes forget. Everyone puts shit on West Indian cricketers turning their backs on that team to focus on domestic T20 comps but what if Australia didn't have it's own Test team and we had to play for an Oceania team with say NZ and some Pacific Islander nations, I'm sure we wouldn't crucify the guys that stopped playing for Oceania a few years early to focus on T20 comps.

They don't play for their country they play for a glorified all-star team of the region.

If the West Indies didn't exist then these blokes wouldn't even be playing as guns for hire in 20/20 leagues. They would be all slugging it out in the Associate Nation Leagues with Ireland, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Canada and Scotland.

Exactly, Test cricket is merely a pathway for them to go onto better things, ie 20/20
