That Sunrise clip makes me feel good about never watching Sunrise.

True but he asked her for a drink...not a root....

I bet Gayle would've bought her a "Slow Comfortable Screw" if she'd said yes. ;)

I'm sure you were much more charming than Gayle's sleazy effort.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Just talked to a lady at work about Gayle and even she reckons everyone blowing this out of proportion are f**kwits (her words, not mine).

He was quite charming, he wanted to look at her eyes and have a drink together.
Its not like he said "Do you wanna ****"?
"No"
"Well do you mind lying down while I have one?"

I hope she doesn't get a job as a barmaid, air hostess or hooker if she thought Gayle was offensive!

He should try picking up a weather girl.

Gayle fined 10k.

The thing that bemuses me about the whole situation is that people on both sides of any argument these days just dial it up to 11. Every issue has to be polarise everyone. There is no room to take any middle ground, or even just general apathy.

His comments were very clearly inappropriate, but anything more than an apology is an overreaction imo.

Was it appropriate? No
Does McLaughlin deserve to cop it? No
Was it sexist? No

Agree, Definitely inappropriate but didn't need to be anything more than an apology and stern 'pull ya head in'

The comparisons to the Sharpova press conference and the women news reporter on the beach making for interesting psychology into the way the modern world works when it comes to these issues.

If Gayle wasn't so money hungry i would think that this would be his last visit to Oz on principal.

I feel sorry for Mel but in truth she did a great job and made him look like the idiot his comments deserved.

Problem is channel 10 want to mic up these players they want to ask Gayle questions about anything but cricket and focus more on his new years and his penthouse etc etc and then everyone carries on when he acts like a w**k.

I remember when Pollard was first in the big bash, every second question was about living down at the bay and the mmmmmm sights down there etc etc.

If you're making light of the situation then you'd be doing the opposite to condoning the situation if anything! Derr!

Another one for this topic, people who try to be high and mighty but actually do the opposite and promote their own stupidity.
