Please don't laugh at our expense. In 1984 at St.Pauls college I had to write that 50 times as our year 5 teacher Mr Lyall Murphy would come up with a piss annoying phrase every week and when you did something wrong he would have you writing it a random number of times.

He did indeed get it from the old paper bus tickets.
