Something is definately in the air. Gordon is a mouthpiece for the AFL so he wouldn't be even thinking of an appeal if the AFL weren't happy with it.
And only 20 minutes later Balme comes out and says that WADA has no purpose in AFL and CAS aren't neutral. What Collingwood say usually ends up happening

Yep, they don't want players suspended. It hurts them too much in the hip pocket. Why do you think the tribunal hand picked by Gill cleared them initially

They come out looking pretty shonky with their joint investigation with asada imo.

Screams of trying to wave the big stick around but not actually hit anyone, especially the players

Just because you don't like him, doesn't mean he's not the best choice as leader. I think he'll be an inspired choice.

Just grubby lawyers looking to cash in and make a name for themselves. I bet they aren't doing this for free.

I think Peter Gordon the Western Bulldogs president is one of the drivers of the appeal... not sure he fits that description...

Problem is with this lot is that Jamar was injured for a good chunk towards the end, Stokes just didnt have his dead right. Cordy just didnt seem to be able to make an impact at AFL level and Polkinghorne was only so so really. If Stokes gets himself right, he will be an asset now doubt, but I think Jamar could be spending plenty of time with Leuy in the stands injured.

Perhaps Essendon should just stand down for a year, too, and save the money, embarrassment, and effort. ;)
