Ebert sitting on a few benches baffles me to some degree, I know the difference between his best and worst football is light years apart but at least he can get the ball.

Yep, he's in my starting 18. Strong body, good tank. Has to be a first choice player.

It's a moot argument in today's game. Start on the pine and you will be on the ground within 90 seconds anyway haha!

Port announce their 3rd bank in 5 years and Koch admits their debt level is still at an "uncomfortable level"...significant work to be done off field one would think, another bad year on field may cause some serious issues.

Credit where its due, after years of making one million less per year than North Adelaide they only made 100k less than the SANFL club last year.

No doubt Koch has been a big part of Port turning things around and they've done a sensational job from where they were. But the challenge is to sustain it, especially through the inevitable lean years. Seems similar to Cunningham's tenure. When he was there they were a totally different club but things went terribly awry almost as soon as he goes. Whether Koch can set Port up so well he's no longer required is his real challenge.

Good point, maybe there's no credit due if Port can't compete with a SANFL club who only had one win, my bad.

I enjoy watching North languish. In fact, they can buy a private island in the Caribbean as long as they keep winning one game a year! Makes me happy. Really happy.

I'm glad our guaranteed future excites you, its a pity the same can't be said about your adopted club or your previous club which died. I'm sure you'll find a new bandwagon to jump on when this one rolls over too, it must be nice to be able to be that fickle. Hope to see one of your clubs in another grand final soon, 2007 was fun! :)

Might as well spend your time hoping my club makes one soon, no point holding onto the dream yours might.

Fickle....if a Port supporter who has stuck through the last 20 years is fickle your understanding of football is as flimsy as a members vote at Prospect.

Last time I looked my clubs had played in Grand Finals this decade :)
Considering your original club is dead I'd say North have more of a chance than them.
And we all know how Geelong and the Power match up in Grand Finals ;)
2 alive clubs who are financially well off and have played in GFs this decade > one dead club and one basket case.

It's great viewing.

He's got much to be proud of at his clubs, 9 Premierships with Geelong, 12 with North Adelaide. Sure, it isn't as big a number as 36 (and 1), not even combined and not even close, but it's still something to be really proud of.

They've got a well respected supporter group, management that listens to the members, a more inclusive, welcoming group you'll struggle to find.

Agreed about the supporter group, opposite of the power walking tarps.

Don't bring up Geelongs supporters though, the ones in and around Geelong are weird. :?
