Eldest lad is about to turn 7, so Ive been online to check what age a child can sit in the front seat, and it appears that's the age (although it says back seat is still the safer option). In the airbag era, what age did everyone let their lids sit in the front seat?

I think young Nedly still needs to fit a certain height requirement. Chuck an email to the RAA child safety advisory, they'll soon tell you.

Depends on size. My two eldest daughters are both tall girls so they've been doing it since 9 yrs old. My youngest is a midget so she'll have to wait until 16 lol

Why does Ouzo change its structure and texture when you put it into the Fridge?
What do the "sheets" it producers consist of?

From some other forum :

I'm pretty sure what you're seeing is potassium bitartrate. It is common in wines that haven't been cold stabilized, which just means chilled until the crystals fall out. As ouzo is pretty much just distilled flavored wine, I'm guessing that the excess tartaric acid survives the distillation process, and then falls out at near freezing temperatures.

If it is potassium bitartrate, it is absolutely nothing to be concerned about.

Depsite having a massive dislike of anything that remotely smells like licorice, this also stems from my time at North Haven. Everyone drank it when I was there and I reckon they still do. Weirdos.

Exactly. Cross the bridge, pay the price. ($4.50 for an Ouzo and raspberry i believe it was).

That's how I got onto it too. Ouzo and raspberrys at Havens circa 2004/2005.

I've got an electric storage hot water system and we had no hot water yesterday. There was not excessive use so it should not have run out. We only had the element etc replaced 8 weeks ago so the plumber was going to come this morning and check it out but we had hot water back again this morning without touching it.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on how that can happen?

Apologies if this question belongs in the AFL section, but I thought it might take away from the discussions around Essendon and Charlie' Dixon's knee.

Does a club's selection in the AFL's national draft ever 'expire'? In other words, can a drafted individual elect to join their club at a point in the near future (say, in two years' time), instead of joining them immediately?

Pretty sure the player has to sign a contract that year. If player / club allow player to not come to club for a period of time that player would still be on the list and included in the salary cap. In the old days players would sign a form 4 (i think) that would tie the player to that club without actually joiniing them. Think both Jarmans and McDermott signed one with Brisbane Bears but never joined.

Reckon they would immediately be contracted.

Dangerfield did elect to stay in Geelong for a year when the crows drafted him though. To finish school

Has anyone seen a woman look at their husband/boyfriend just after the bloke has said something and it looks like it's the single most idiotic thing that woman has ever heard spoken, just by the look on their face?

That look of "You stupid mother **** I've never heard anything that stupid. Not since the last time you spoke anyway"

Well, in Foodland last night this bloke was suggesting that he and his Mrs have steak, chips and eggs for tea "Home cooked mixed grill, babe".

Dumbest thing she has ever, ever heard. Couldn't help myself....I lol'd.
