I feel they will get their right whack with your lawyer and union
Gotta say in this state if you get injured at a work Xmas function it's work cover
I went to a work awards function according to work I wasn't getting an award no need for me to be there .
This year first time in my 21 years there no invitations sent out a worker in the office walked around the 51 employees of my section . 11 of us said yes .
To me that's me getting invited not so says work .
And the insurer didn't want to answer yes or no I was getting calls from work every week come back on light duties .
Now when I got that call from the insurer and I was directed to the unions lawyer . He called them Xmas week they complained but assured him they would contact me with a letter saying yes or no by Xmas day 2015 .
I contacted the lawyer Jan 4 told him no letter .
Funny enough work called me oh the insurer needs more time to consider I blurted out oh so they lied to my lawyer ,
What you have a lawyer that went over badly . Cause I added in they kept saying go on sickness benefits I can't until the insurer says no .
So I got one of two emails from the insurer that said roughly we see your returning to work we've helped you please fill in the survey .
Once I saw it called up the lawyer he said don't fill it in .
That's when he told me they had sent him a letter and he had called them it's a no to work cover and they have sent me a no letter .
The following week same email
And the lawyer sent me papers to sign
Also had help from a social worker to fill in papers for Centrelink my GP gave me a month off until Feb1 ,
Rehab therapists said no way got me in earlier to see rehab doc filled in Centrelink papers and a sick cert for work until April 25 .
But still work causes a hassle social worker needs a letter saying I have a job to go back to of course that person is on leave funny that .
