Bobo Olsen was the most corrupt premier this state has seen, now he might be the most corrupt administrator we have ever had.

I have fond memories of him stepping down due to the Motorola deal.

Then after a while he finds himself as the head man for the football commission. Sort of suggests that people dont tend to check references anymore.

Five weeks of the footy season with no footy!
Bad value if you are paid up to a member of a SANFL club!

Get rid of the 2 ring ins
8 team comp everybody plays each other 3 times 21 round season
Get rid of the byes except June long week for state games
Final Four

Sounds easy doesn't it.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

While driving from Noarlunga to Elizabeth today I was pondering what idiot thought it would be a good idea to have a Central v South Friday night TRIAL game? Then I remembered the same idiots who gave us 5 byes.. Watching the footy it dawned on me seeing somewhere around a 1000 at the game tonight if those same idiots were alert and awake they would have started the season this weekend while there was no AFL footy.. hell what is an extra bye when we have 5 already.. NO AFL may have meant bumper crowds to SANFL..

The clubs themselves normally arrange the trial games.

As far as I was aware, not so long ago the SANFL organised them?

Made sense for both to play on Friday though for the obvious reason mentioned already.

The SANFL has made a complete mess of the fixture this year.

Way too many byes I thought having a 10 team competition was meant to eliminate the byes not increase them!!!!!!

Panther Park you are absolutely correct.
5 weeks with no league footy and no income for the 8 clubs,
just holidays for the club staff during a SIX month season.
I can't understand why the clubs and supporters let it happen.
It is not as if all the clubs are rolling in money either.
Hardly anyone has said boo.
It is beyond me.

The SANFL have to be taking the piss. Taking the one and only possible positive from bringing in the Crows (getting rid of byes) and making it worse.
Pure incompetence couldn't manage that, surely?
