Exactly. Surely their first preference for top-up players would have been their rookies anyway?

Hope Port aren't spending so much energy on this as the chat here might suggest. Essendon as a club were punished severely and repeatedly and deservedly so. Any suggestion they aren't getting punished because the AFL are allowing them to put 22 on the park each week is nonsense. If Port were to need a top up player from outside their list, outside the AFL and a bloke not good enough to get a game at Melbourne, Carlton or Essendon then they've got bigger problems to worry about.

Tend to agree with you Grahaml. Its only a rookie spot anyway.

Best we not talk about it if it upsets you then.

Anywho, it wasn't a matter of wanting to poach a top end player as a replacement, it was the principle of Essendon having more players available to them on their list than Port Adelaide have. Nothing more.

While I agree we'd only have either elevated a rookie or perhaps have drawn from the stocks at the Magpies, it would still have been a full senior and rookie list we would have had to choose from.

Its so unfair Essendon have an extra international rookie on their list where Port doesnt.

Obviously this international rookie will give Essendon a massive advantage over the power this season.

Just when you thought PAFC Couldnt get more pathetic.

The Gaelic footballer, from Tyrone in Northern Ireland, signed with the club as a category B rookie

How else do you think Essendon have 45 players on their list when the maximum allowed is 44.

The crows have two category b rookies, Hugh Goddard and Alex Keath.

Not sure what your point is though. Actually I do, it's to troll.

He really doesn't have a point, he's got a massive inferiority complex and personality disorder. But gee, it's always good for a laugh. If Port have a good year, I'm tipping we won't see any of his cr*p on here.
