Jake Tonkin from Golden Grove to Mawson Lakes is a good pick up if he doesnt sandbag in their C grade like he did at Golden Grove

Well he might find it a bit hard as he will be the only one playing in the game

Also, I do count about 8 from last year not playing... Across both grades

Why too late? Did the extra 40-50 blokes you need for a C grade all go somewhere else?

Had a lot of external interest, got a long list of names who were keen for a kick in a C-Grade...ex-players, players from other clubs, players who hadn't played since school etc.

Would have organised a couple of registration days etc., but without a coach I'm wasting my time

Yeah fair enough. Would have been a big step forward for you guys. Keep trying though. Once you get a coach that's keen to put in the hard yards and chase blokes up, you should get it off the ground

It was ambitious in November. Trying to pull it together in Feb is insanity.

We'll revisit the idea again at the end of the season.

It would be unfair to not make serious comment on CB. He came to the den last year to help the club build with the hope to win a flag. Mission accomplished, he now wants to play a season with his brother back at Lockleys. Good on him, he played a big part in our 2015 season and will always be a Lion, we wish him well. No smilie, just respect.
