I'm about 20 games into the batters RTTS career. Sitting right on .400 with 2 HRs and 20 R's.

Last night, against the Altoona Curve (top team) we were down 8-0 going into the bottom of the eighth. I put a run in with a single base hit. They put another run on the board at the top of the ninth, making it 9-1.

The bottom of the ninth innnings, the SeaWolves ran in 8 more runs, included a 2 RBI double by yours truely. The game was tied at 9-9 at the end of regulation.

Took the game to 12 innings, with the Erie SeaWolves winning 12-11. That was the biggest comeback I've ever been a part of.

The FG V8 Supercar was released today as a free downloadable car for Project Cars.

I can't wait to get home and throw that bastard around Bathurst.

I spent about 6 hours on Tropico 5 on PS4 the other night.

2 DLC packs, and a new Dynasty later, my nation is booming.

Just hope the damn Axis doesn't attack before my military has the borders covered.

by the way HH3, I do read your posts here, so you're not talking to yourself.

my best mate got hooked on that Tropico game too, pulled an all nighter, called in sick to work, then realised that wasn't cool so I think he ended up deleting it.

Its f**ked. Feels like you've been playing for half an hour and look at the clock and its 3.30am.

Combine that with Spotify, and theres no hope of getting to bed on time.

I got back into MLB Franchise mode with the Astros last night.

Halfway through the second season. The first season ended exactly .500 with an 81-81 record.

Instead of continuing to play every 5th game (works out to playing 32 games a season) I decided to take the management angle and sim most of them. Every time something came up in all 3 leagues (MLB, AAA, AA) I attended to it myself. Everything from injuries, call ups, form slumps, trade requests, etc.

I signed 38 year old free agent Adrian Beltre on a 1yr/$6m deal and chucked him straight into my AAA team as backup for my young Majors 3B.

I reshuffled my pitching rotation. Also traded a young AAA prospect for relief pitcher Brad Boxberger from the Rays.

On the back of all the changes, and the extra attention paid to roster management, the team finished top of American League West division.

I simmed the first two games of the ALDS Postseason Series against the White Sox (1-1), planning to play the 3rd if the series was 0-2 after 3 in a 5 game series. Being 1-1 I simmed the 3rd, which went the Sox's's's way.

So losing the series 2-1, I played the 4th game.

Houston scored two runs in the top of the first, and Dan Straily was pitching a no-hitter until the bottom of the 4th, when the Sox put in 2 runs of their own.

It stayed 2-2 until the top of the 7th, where I put in 2 more runs. The Sox replied with one of their own in the bottom of the 7th. Score 4-3.

In the top of the 8th, the Astros scored 6 runs, including a bases loaded Home Run by Corey Dickerson.

Final score 10-3.

Back to Houston to do it all again tonight in the 5th and deciding game of the ALDS.

I played a fair bit of Fallout yesterday.

Got right back into it, since losing interest a couple of months ago.

The story's not the greatest. I don't think it's up there with 3 or New Vegas, but the gameplay's good enough to have fun with.

I'm finding I really need to scrounge for ammo, which is probably one of the reasons I gave up on it before. Every shootout I'm doing calculations in my head figuring out how long I've got til I inevitably get backed into a corner and f**ked up.

I got stuck looking for one part (ceramic) to build something huge for a mission. I seriously have scavenged and built 4 huge structures, but can't continue until I've found one piece of ceramic. That annoyed me at 1am this morning.

I seem to have a fair bit of ammo.

I make sure I have a gun for each of the ammo types, and then try and use the guns that I have the most ammo of at the time.

Another thing that helped was finding a bloodied chinese warrior sword, that was awesome as you could just go and smash some raiders or even mirelurks in the face without having to use ammo

I tend to stick to hunting/pipe rifles with long range scopes and snipe before they see me coming (in the open areas).

Its the corridor battles that get me.

Last night I came across a group of Super Mutants in a square out the front of a building. I sniped one, and his dog. Two more SM's ran towards me, one holding a flashing nuke. I let off one round, straight at the nuke. Best thing I've done in the whole game. The whole place went up in a huge fireball.

I saved the video, so I might chuck it up on Youtube and share it here later.

pipe rifles arent the best for long range though

from memory at work, i have

hardened pipe rifle, with the glow sights and a bayonet, which is good for general stuff
I have some sort of proper sniper rifle which works much better than the scoped pipe rifles

the best thing for super mutants is if you can get some sort of shotgun, then use VATS to shoot them in the face. you can almost do it in 2 shots, especially if you have a critical hit. If you dont do it in 2 shots, you can run away until your vats recharges, or just switch to another weapon. it worked well even with a double barrel shotgun, but now i have this semi-auto combat shotgun thingy which is amazing. ammo is a bit rare though so i try and use it sparingly. thats also how i started killing mirelurks too

i also have something called righteous authority, which is a laser weapon, works well on synths

i think i have a sub machine gun too, which is ok, i only started carrying it around because i realised i had heaps of those bullets lying around

even though they are awesome i basically never carry things like the minigun, mini nukes, rocket launchers and junk jet, they are just too heavy. I really need to let a few mini nukes off though, never done it before

My pipe rifle is really good, but I also have a hunting rifle, which I've just put a scope on. That thing is nuts.

I think it was my pipe rifle that killed a Super Mutant with a one shot kill head shot. It'll be in the video.

I've just put a long barrell on my double barrel shotgun, and a reflex sight.

I have the combat shotgun too.

My default gun in hallway combat is the automatic 10mm pistol with extended clip, only because I have shitloads of 10mm bullets, and they're cheap, so I can afford to spray them around.

Here's the snipe and nuke video.

I didn't realise I had died between them until I trimmed the video down, but still cool none the less.

The big explosion happens right at the end.

that was pretty cool.

Halfway through the "find virgil in the glowing sea" mission. It is super weird out that way (WAAAY off the bottom left of the map)

I just finished the first mission for Virgil.

I don't like it out there. The part between the town you find and Virgil is as treacherous as they come. In the end, instead of fighting my way through the creatures, I ended up just running as fast as I could in the suit.

same, the radscorpions are scary as hell. Usually I try to explore as much as possible, but I too just legged it out of there

made the mistake of trying shooting the turrets at the entrance to virgil's cave and then he tried to shoot me, so i killed him about 10 times, but all would happen is he would kind of reset for a bit then wake up and try and shoot me again. Then i looked up what i was supposed to do, and realised that i shouldnt have tried to kill him, and had to restart from an earlier save
