Not looking good, 5/234. Only 31 runs to get.

Season just about over if they can't produce a miracle, they do have a long tail though!

I think we went a little too hard too early to get quick runs.....

FFS!!
Unbroken 6th wicket stand of 120 gets them over the line.
Now down to 4th on the table and barring a big change of form it's looking like another waste of a year

Depth appears to be a major issue. Lose Sayers and Ferguson and we are in big strife.

Mennie and Worrall are no strike bowlers

Bit harsh on Mennie, he is leading the Shield wickets by about 10 wickets! And Siddons this week predicted the next Redback to play for Australia would be Worrall, bowls at 140 Kms and swings it both ways. What makes them more potent is having Sayers there as well, so will be stronger against WA next game.

And everyone knows (except WHUFC of course!!) that Ferg is our only A Grade batter, and we really miss his consistency and leadership out on the field.

Plus Andrews is not damaging as a spin bowler, so that puts more pressure on the quicks without Zampa.

Leadership

His a eighty nine year old that we won't even consider for a captaincy role suggests to me his leadership skills aren't that great

Big collapse by Queensland. Set 282 to win off 62 overs they were cruising at 3/207 in the 45th over only to be rolled for 257. Drops us to 5th now.
QLD, NSW, WA and us all within 6 points of each other with 2 to play

Would almost put Lehmann as an A-Grade batsman. Three centuries, and just as impressive in it's own way a back-against the wall 40 against the VIcs last game.

On Lehmann, How do people on here see his technique coping and thriving at the next level? Anything he needs to work on? Normally see a young player shine and then he gets found out at test level and has to re work on the technique.

I have only seen Lehmann bat for a total of about an hour in shield cricket so not willing to make a comment on his technique or anything.

BUT

5 scores of over 50 in his first 13 innings

geez his numbers look great early doors. Looks a real prospect for the future. Very exciting.

Lehmann seems to enjoy the FC level more than grade level - he was always good for a quickfire 30 or 40, but struggled to hit consistent big scores, however for the Redbacks he seems to be doing it quite regularly.

I think he needs to do it for a longer period of time before we start calling him an A-grader. But it is an excellent start, couldn't be better
