From 1960-1968 there was a football club known as Para-Houghton (obviously affiliated with neighbouring Paracombe), but maybe it's time we returned to those golden years with a merger with Para Hills!

Why didn't they have to produce a list of current registered players of 55 like some other clubs months before. Everybody on here was aware that they where in trouble but the club didn't think so, time will time but this should have been worked out at least a month before. Is this like other clubs buying a flag then falling over the next year as they over payed what they can afford?

It's definitely not about money.
From what ive heard its the Chairman who's f##ked up big time.
Apparently hired his mate cabbage before last years finals and when bamford won the gf he couldn't get rid of him for obvious reasons.
Then bamford pulled the pin about a month after presentations because of family reasons. So the Chairman appointed cabbage without advertising and they would have got a couple of good applications after just winning the gf.
Now players have heard all this and walked because cabbage wasn't the right fit. Hardly has a good cv plus been out of coaching for a while.
They reinstated the b grade coach from last year. Now all the c graders from last year dont get along with b grade coach so they all walked too.
Now chairman is blaming everyone else but him.

More than willing to dump pressure on havens and westies at this stage of the year.

EP been very quiet, no idea how they have gone in their trials. Actually the same could be said for numerous teams in this division. Information is scarce and I dare say there will be a few surprises in the first few rounds.

EP will be right, right up there. Had some injuries to their best players down the stretch last year which hurt them, will always win at least 8 at home and add in Butler, Winter etc to a side that finished the minor round in the top 4 and that puts them pretty close to the top of the tree.

Have also picked up Shaun Gatto, Shaun Mansell and Matty Stewart (from Smithfield)

Will be a very handy side, would be surprised if they finish outside the top 3.

I know at times it is the clubs fault but at times i cant help but think the players have to take responsibility for where some of these of clubs end up.

I don't know much if anything about the Para Hills scenario but it seems to be a common theme in amateur footy that players are happy to run around year by year chasing the biggest dollar coin possible but when things don't go exactly there way or times get tough they all pack up and leave and chase the next biggest offer.

Is it time that if the players want to be treated like professional sportsmen with some getting almost full time salaries that there is tougher rules around players leaving clubs year by year. Should there be some sort of transfer system whether that is in relation to transfer fees being applied or stricter rules around players being able to leave clubs.

Well, word is that Para Hills committee reneged on 'promises' made to some players.... Hence the exodus while even Bamford was there.

I'm the first to confess i have no idea in the case of Para Hills but is just an observation that more and more clubs are having these type mass exodus each year.

Clubs are only required to produce this once they've been a one team club for one year.

Should become a requirement for all clubs so the league knows where everyone stands each year. Because it has happened too much over the past few seasons.

Probably should've been a requirement for Para Hills this year at least - every man and his dog knew they were in a tough position with players leaving

When a club is in denial, saying "yeah, we'll be fine" after being offered a spot in d7 and then come looking to drop a week out from the season proper, there's not much you can do.

Bollocks.. The league has the power to investigate matters for what ever reason e.g. if I post on here some outrageous incident from a game, I'm sure the powers that be would be knocking on our clubs door asking for a please explain... therefore when all the talk in the off season is about players leaving, surely the league should've approached PH and when the club denies allegation's saying "yeah, we'll be fine" they turn and say "PROVE IT"..

A quick count of the Ins / outs - and the quality of them combined with who'd registered would've shown that they were in the shit.

and if it's granted they struggle through this year, have about 30 clearances in next year and start from the bottom. But it's all worth it for a premiership i guess...........
