How are North Havens lights this year?

;)

They're great but sadly the globes tend to fade around the time HV get there.

Funny you say that actually. I got told tonight that the lights in our visitors changerooms keep fritzing out when they get turned on and my reply was, "get them fixed after North Haven have been here". True story.

Knowing the kooks b grade umpire , he only goes hard when the opposition mouth off! Trust me he is as frustrating to kenilworth as the opposition!

I was there on Saturday and can remember quite a lot of simple free kicks that were missed by both umpires. That said Havens Umpire must need a new prescription for his glasses as a lot of them were committed right in front of him and he did not even raise his whistle. I'm all for letting the play go however obvious free kicks need to be paid no matter what!

I support that stance
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

Round 2 is almost upon us and i'll try and kickstart some conversation by chucking out a few predictions.

EP v NH: EP are a massive unknown, multiple people have given positive reports but they face a confident NH team fresh off a cracking start to the year. I might end up with egg on my face here but I have to go with the team who has a result already on the board. NH by 24.

WOS v Pooraka: Pooraka pushed Hope Valley all the way last week and im expecting both of those teams to be mid table by seasons end. Westies just got done by the grand finalist from last year without 4 or 5 of their big name recruits so you'd expect them to account for Pooraka if they are to be a top 3 contender this year. Picking westies by 35.

HV v CLG: Valleys just getting over Pooraka and CLG beating edwardstown who many expect to be a contender this year should mean that CLG will get a win here but anything can happen come game day. Thinking it will be another close one for the lions but like last week may just get the choccies. 15 points to CLG.

Kenilworth v Salisbury: first home game for the Kookas and they will want to improve on their result last week, while I don't think the margin will be as high I'm expecting Salisbury to account for Kenilworth with little issue. Salisbury by 40.

Talking about cheating B grade umpires, just watching the Salisbury game. Has he read a rule book?

Class above

Butler would have had 35 possessions 4-5 goal assists

Mansell kicked at least 4

Winters dominated the rucks

Paul Jones solid as rock in defence

I reckon I said it a while back but make no mistake about it, EP will be the team to catch.

Yep they recruited very strongly

You don't get three blokes back from a div2 premiership, a SANFL reserves footballer and not improve

Cheers Pag for poping in for a quick drink after the match mate. As I'm sure you know you provide very good representation of your club. Best of luck for the year.

Eastern Park - Finalist last year, look to have lost a couple with not too much coming in. A chance to make a play for finals but will have to be strong at home like they usually are. A bit of an unknown quantity for me, struggled to place them
Kenilworth - 7th last year, have lost a few but have added in some quality as well. Whoever finishes 9th this year could easily finish with 6 wins I think. Great memories on their oval though :P
Para Hills - Been talked about a lot on here about the amount of players they have had leave, look to be in for a long season with players like Cree, Buss, Hanson and Lynch all leaving. Don't think it will be as bad as has been talked about but will have to work
T

Eastern park to make finals easily and challenge for a flag

Winter
Mansell
S gatto hes old but still a gun
Got a few back from Maitland as well

Havent lost much really they will be strong and always hard to beat out there[/quote]

ill just leave this here mark my words EP will contend for the flag

to be fair i wrote that before most of their quality ins were listed. Obviously with the result on Saturday they not only rocket into finals contention but premiership contention as well.

Expected the WOS result to be slightly more one sided but i guess it will take some time for the new faces to gel together.
