So predictable, dominate play, have a heap of shots at goal and trail to a side that has barely had a shot into the breeze

Possibly, only rain will stop this from being a huge loss.

C'mon, skies! Open up!

Beat Central at Elizabeth. Can't get more away for a Noarlunga team than that!

South 15.12 def Norwood 12.7

South best- J. Cross, N. Schwarz, B. Seccull, M. Rose, B. Crabb, R. Barnes
Goals- Eddy 3, Barnes 3, Overall 2, Hitchcock 2, Haren, Liddle, Cross, Rankine, Veide

Thought it was a fairly entertaining match. The Legs wasted their opportunities with the breeze before South kicked away in the 2nd term to lead by 21 at the break. 3 early goals into the wind to South after the interval was pivotal, the lead blowing out to 39. For a while there the final term looked to be a reversal of last week's Noarlunga game, as the Legs had all the run and drew within a couple of goals. In a pleasing sign, South steadied to record a well deserved win.

Nick Schwarz getting better with every game, really enjoying watching him. Thought Cailotto did some excellent work in the air, while Barnes was again lively. South getting very good service out of their 'lesser lights'.

Third term went nearly 40 minutes, with Cachia and Fields stretchered off and a lengthy 'melee'. Not sure about Cachia, but apparently Fields is ok (heavily concussed) but will spend the night in hospital.

Bass will have an appointment with the tribunal. Stupid.

Great to honour Crabby with a win.

Yes I too was pleased with the way we responded in the last quarter when Norwood came storming back. Our depth will be tested in the coming weeks with as many as 3 from today likely to miss next week.
Bass- who seemed to be targeted by Norwood from early in the match , which saw him leaving the ground with the blood rule on more than one occasion..finally lost his cool and committed a stupid act which resulted in one of the biggest brawls Ive seen in an sanfl match for many years.
He'll no doubt get a trip to the tribunal but there definitely should be a few more reports to come from this because there were plenty of punches thrown which connected. Bass was felled behind the play 5 minutes after the brawl as well.
The 3rd quarter which went for 39 minutes saw 2 players stretchered from the ground (in incidents separate from the brawl) and an all in brawl .

I don't think I have seen an all in brawl go for 39 minutes on a SANFL field before.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
