spot on wazz.
"unbeatable", I don't think so. No such thing is there!!
No doubt Hahndorf are going very well, but Torrens Valley and Blackwood are going well too, and you discount Uraidla at your own peril I reckon.

This season is far from a done deal!!!!
here are my tips for this week. (for what it is worth)

Mt Barker over Echunga easily. Echunga's depth to be further tested after injuries last week.

Blackwood over Onkas easily. Leonard injured I believe testing Onka's depth also.

Torrens Valley just over Uraidla in what should be a ripper. Torrens Valley look a complete package with good strong mids and a couple of key forwards. But Uraidla are always very strong defensively.

Lobethal comfortably over Ironbank, although Lobethal are a little inconsistent and it looks like Ironbank are improving.

Hahndorf too strong for Mt Lofty. Too much quality all over the ground.

Good to see Sammy Miles is about to grace the footy fields again. We wish him all the best and Lofty surely can do with him. Hope he leads his mate Jaenschy on a merry dance.

Tips this week;

Barker V Echunga- Barker will respond with a comfortable victory over the Dees who while competitive lack some depth at the minute. barker by 6 goals.

Onkas V Blackwood- Blackwood have lost 2 games in a row and a poor start last week cost them. Onkas should be confident after a win and the nice addition of Daniel Motlop will increase their chances. The woods will still be a bit to good and should be fuming after their past 2 weeks, leading to a 5 goal win.

TV V Uraidla- Game of the round and should be a cracker. If Uri's have Down, Delvins and Clements back I expect them to be to strong as they are a super disciplined defensive side led by the coach and Pucker Richards. TV are start studded though and will be hard to stop but Uri's are one of the sides capable. Uris by 2 goals in a low scoring affair.

Lobethal V Ironbank- If lobethal want to play finals they must win this game as they can't afford to drop games they should win. The bankers are improving and Jacky is a nice inclusion. Lobe should be to good and their running ability will cause the bankers all sorts of issues. Lobe by 7 goals.

Lofty V Hahndorf- Great to see Miles back and hope he goes well. Tough game to come back for as Hahndorf will win this in a canter as they are to good in every area of the ground. Hourigan to kick in double figures and the Dorf by 90 plus.

How's Onkas fitting Motlop into the salary cap, he certainly won't play for less than $1000 given he flys in from Darwin. And Jesse O'Brien would already be getting $1000 which is the marquee player amount. No other player should be getting more than $500 and Motlop won't play for that. I'd suggest dodgey undertakings might be occurring here.

wazzal77 wrote:I take from it that Lobey, Mt Barker, Blackwood and Torrens Valley all around the mark, so too Uraidla but was surprised the margin wasnt more (maybe bad weather?). The one result that shocked me was the fact that Echunga only managed 1 goal after quarter time against Hahndorf. Wow. I thought it would be closer than that. What does the result say about Hahndorf or Echunga? End of a full round we will know more.

I again got 4/5. Here goes for 5/5:

Mt Barker to def Echunga by 6 goals
Blackwood to def Onkas by 7 goals
Torrens Valley to def Uraidla by 2 goal (at Mt Torrens)
Hanndorf to def Mt Lofty - this might be an embarrasing score line for the devils, lets hope not - I'll say by 8 goals

Ok I can retire, i also picked Torrens Valley over Uraidla by 2 goals meaning I got 5/5.

I will save you all from my tippings as promised. This weekends round looks interesting with Hahndorf taking on Blackwood clearly game of the round (glad I dont have to tip, not sure about this one). The rest of the games should be easy picks... The top 5 is up for grabs by 6 x clubs. Who will miss out? I cant tell based on the results so far.. How long has it been since Uraidla were 6th on the ladder?? (albeit not quite mid season, but End of R6 in 2015 they were 1st; 2014 - 2nd; 2013 - 3rd; 2012 - 2nd; 2011 - 1st; 2010 - 3rd), not a bad record, but being 6th does this indicate that the glory days are potentially slipping away ?

I think it is dangerous to right Uraidla off, but I do suspect it suggests they are not as all powerful as they once were (not long ago).
But the current table positions should be looked at in the context of the teams played.
For example, Hahndorf haven't played Blackwood, Torrens Valley or Uraidla yet.
we will find out just how powerful they are in the next three weeks.

Couldnt agree more, the make up at the top of the table could look entirely different in 4 weeks time, considering that there is only 2 games that split first and 6th!

Not an issue - apparently they'll be taking the HFL to Court arguing that trial games wins should be counted in the relegation points table.

Hearing this as well Spidey!! We all know that they should have been back there 2 years ago but am hearing that next year is the year no matter what.

Also do you think that the Onkas hierarchy are wishing they didn't jump the gun and sack McGahey last year? Seriously that club goes through coaches like none other.
