Its a fantastic effort mate, great work :) i thought i had the best score for the league for a second, i think its by far my personal best, but you got me by a comfortable margin. Hopefully you keep up the good scores

Cheers Tipper....see how we go this weekend, hope you score well for all except one week ;)

Thanks, but i doubt you need to worry about the wombats. I dare say ill drop off over the next few weeks, ive never scored that highly before and i doubt ill keep it up. Ill try though. :)

Round 2

Summer of George 1926
Northern Cats 1879

Wacky Tigers 2022
Ice Bank Mice Elf 1999

Blighty Teasdale 2005
Greedy Guns 1865

Hawkers 1969
FOOTYLEDGENS 1955

Killer Wombats 2100
ShiatsuShiners 2066

OneWinWonders 2027
Wadey's Warriors 1917

Chelsea FC 2021
Magpie Mafia 1902

The Willies 2002
Extend The Dukes 1938

Chicken Noodles 1962
Right Nut 1915

Ladder

1 The Willies 2 0 4552 4078 111.62 8
2 Killer Wombats 2 0 4602 4165 110.49 8
3 Wacky Tigers 2 0 4223 4113 102.67 8
4 Summer of George 2 0 4214 4112 102.48 8
5 Hawkers 2 0 4291 4248 101.01 8
6 ShiatsuShiners 1 1 4412 4187 105.37 4
7 Right Nut 1 1 4294 4081 105.22 4
8 FOOTYLEDGENS 1 1 4241 4105 103.31 4

9 OneWinWonders 1 1 4262 4228 100.80 4
10 Extend The Dukes 1 1 4249 4237 100.28 4
11 Blighty Teasdale 1 1 4092 4211 97.17 4
12 Chelsea FC 1 1 4120 4404 93.55 4
13 Chicken Noodles 1 1 4102 4465 91.87 4
14 Wadey's Warriors 0 2 4210 4349 96.80 0
15 Northern Cats 0 2 3993 4127 96.75 0
16 Ice Bank Mice Elf 0 2 4135 4308 95.98 0
17 Greedy Guns 0 2 4098 4293 95.46 0
18 Magpie Mafia 0 2 4021 4400 91.39 0

The big scorers of the first round might have taken a points hit but they managed to back up their round one wins with another in the second round. The Wombats beat the Shiners in a top four clash and they topped the scoring for the round while doing it. The Willies took over top spot when they sent Extend the Dukes crashing to the Canvas.

So two sides you might not expect to do well are leading the league. In the bottom five there are three teams that might have been expected to do better. Last year Magpie Mafia dropped a promotion final but after two rounds they are stone motherless and not scoring well. Wadey's Warriors were huge last year hardly putting a foot wrong but already alarm bells are sounding and they are zip and two. This year they are more like Wadey's Worriers. The Northern Cats aren't purring either. A measly 3993 is all they have to show from two matches with furballs flying everywhere up North.

Last week the three bottom sides all won so this has put the heat on the teams now sitting in the relegation zone. Once you are in there, it can be hard to get out. Shit just got real.

That will teach me for being greedy. Set Parker up as VC and Fyfe as C but still thought Fyfe will outscore Parker after Parker scores 129 now Fyfe is injured. Should have used the loophole when I had the chance

18 Greedy Guns 0 3 6154 6498 94.71 0

Pre-season fancy Wadey's Warriors awoke like a sleeping giant to knock the previous ladder leaders The Willies off their pedestal in the third round of Division III matches. This left three teams as the pacesetters, Killer Wombats, Summer of George and Wacky Tigers. The Wombats are having a bumper season so far and this continued for another week as they crunched last ranked Greedy Guns. The Summer of George and Wacky Tigers also had comfortable wins to remain unbeaten so far this season.

Division II relegation team FOOTYLEDGENS pulled off the biggest score of the round despite not looking at his side and playing the injured JJ on the field with Hartley as backup. The LEDGENS crunched the OneWinWonders to move up the table and send a key rival spiraling downwards. Mates Magpie Mafia is doing a bit better than Northern Cats with Andy's Cats looking a better and better thing for relegation with each passing round.

18 Northern Cats 0 4 7828 8268 94.68 0

The Killer Wombats are on fire this season and remain the only unbeaten team in Division III after the Summer of George ended and the Tigers got Wacked. The Wombats lowered the boom on Georgie boy in the match of the round by 23 points so there isn't a lot between two of the better sides of this league. You'd have to think there may be a rematch later on in the year. The Wacky Tigers must be wondering WTF happened after they were absolutely ambushed by OneWinWonders who smashed out an impressive 2274 to cause the upset. I only thought that shit happened to me.

Meanwhile FOOTYLEDGENS coughed up a massive clanger by nominating Goldy as his captain against the Willies. This coaching error has meant the LEDGENS are 7th and The Willies are 2nd as this clanger cost Cub the match. Chicken Noodles were too hot for the Shiners who are in the Shiatsu at 1-3 after 4 games.

With George, LEDGENS and Wacky Tigers all getting done it meant a lot of teams just outside the eight got important wins. Perhaps the most important of these was the win by Magpie Mafia over winless Greedy Guns. A win to the Guns in that match would have been a mortal blow to the Magpies. Meanwhile, Northern Cats are absolutely stinking up the place this season going more like the Lions than the Cats. Andy is looking like the Bye so far this season.

Am I a chance for my first win? I have a 37 point lead with Dixon left against Chicken Noodles and he has Wells left.

17 Northern Cats 1 6 14049 14292 98.30 4
18 Greedy Guns 1 6 14460 14910 96.98 4

The Killer Wombats have hit a bit of a speed hump in recent weeks with a loss to battling Magpie Mafia keeping the Wombats off the top of the ladder. As Tuco Salamanca would say this league is TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT. A team that has been battling away for quite a few seasons now at this level, the mighty Ice Bank Mice Elf have gotten to grips with the season and now is leading Divvy III. The artist formerly known as Constance Perm crushed Right Nut which sounds pretty painful to me, especially if you are the leading scorer of the league but not in the top eight like Nutty is!

Chicken Noodles are running hot and the Hawkers are set to swoop and the ever dependable Summer of George are amongst the real contenders this year although the Willies are standing up so far. Good ol' Northern Cats awoke from their slumber to finally record their first win which is bad news for OneWinWonders who seem mired in the relegation zone. Greedy Guns are scoring ok but not winning games with Wadey recording an important win in that one.

Blighty Teasdale, ShiatsuShiners are staying ahead of FOOTYLEDGENS and Right Nut, both teams who score ok but don't seem to be able to win the matches.

The Killer Wombats are back in town after notching up an impressive victory over fellow top four aspirants Chicken Noodles last week. The coach of the Chicken Noodles was steaming at the opportunity lost but admitted his team was 'cooked' for the majority of the second half. A week of stirring lies ahead. The team most likely to assist is Greedy Guns who look like they will have a nice new wooden spoon to use after losing by 57 points to the team that scored the second lowest score of the round. It has to be one of the luckiest victories ever for the FOOTYLEDGENS.

The Spankers lost top spot on the ladder after they were upset by a resurgent Chelsea who are starting to climb the ladder. A couple of other teams on the move include Wadey's Warriors and Magpie Mafia who are starting to look like the teams that did so well in 2015. One team who has totally lost the plot is the Northern Cats, perhaps they are coached by Chris Scott because the cupboard looks bare for the Divvy III Catters.

Spare a thought for Right Nut. These blokes would give it for a win at the moment seeing as they have the best percentage in the league, are second in league scoring but sit in a truly shitfull 14th spot. Perhaps Mark Thompson said it best 'Fantasy Footy Sucks Sometimes'...I think that's what he said after that Grand Final..I was pretty pissed at time.

See you next week.

regards,

REB

Prick of a week with injury, but I've had my share of luck this season so no complain. Hopefully can get back to heading in the right direction.

17 Northern Cats 2 7 17985 18501 97.21 8
18 Greedy Guns 1 8 18480 18994 97.29 4

Unlike the real Magpies, Magpie Mafia have sustained their recovery and are the team of the round after they smashed out 2418 to sink an unlucky Chicken Noodles. The Mafia stormed into the top eight because this league is the closest in the Hogg Shield with just two wins separating 2nd from 14th. So it's another week another ladder leader and this week it is the Hawkers who are enjoying the view after their solid win over a misfiring Chelsea FC.

The Shiatsus bought out the old Shineboner Spirit made famous by North Melbourne and their consistency has seen them climb to second on the ladder. Other strong teams from last year in Wadey's Warriors and The Summer of George both had convincing wins and like the Mafia they look like they are back in town.

Spare a thought for poor old Greedy Guns. They got rolled by a mere seven points by a team that has scored less than them this season but not when it counted. It was a crucial loss for BigShow as the Northern Cats and OneWinWonders both got up so the Greedy Guns are now well and truly tailing the field with relegation looming large in the rear view mirror.
