Be a good game I reckon. Dogs look the better side but away from the Kennell might be a different story.

Ended up being the perfect June day.

No ammo or country footy 40000 not bad.

What a surprise asking port fans for a crowd prediction will irritate afl nerds.

I wonder why :-)

Hearing the news that Nic Nat is out for 2 months makes me even angerer now, As West Coast to me are now questionable. The fact we couldn't get over Carlton in Melbourne and then yesterday. I've watched the reply of yesterday and a few key moments really stood out to me. I honestly believe we were the better side but saying that the Dogs midfields last 1/4 (Daniel and the Bont in particular) was outstanding.

Key moments for mine were mainly in the last-

Boak missing from 5 meters out when we were seriously up and about
Hartletts non-Sheppard, piss weak effort to protect Chad in the pocket
Polec not pushing back with the flight of the ball to make a contest resulted in a goal.

They're key moments. On top of Paul Stewart being responsible for at least 6 maybe more of the dogs goals, Hartletts efforts all day. Broadbent was terrible by foot, Impey had no impact after knock he copped.

Our pressure on the ball carrier was outstanding so many good points it just rips your heart out losing them games. Gray and Pittard were outstanding the pressure of Dixon and Neade was awesome, Eberts gut run is as good as I've ever seen but gee his foot skills need work. I hope we keep Austin and Howard in.

And we're 1 game out of the 8

Heard it on the radio Saturday when the game was on and just saw it on the TV then being scrutinised. Reckon you can include Polec in those reasons in the last Carey. Pretty ordinary defensive effort from him and not for the first time this year.

He's a concern. When the whips are cracking at 2 contests in particular it just looked like he wasn't concentrating or didn't give a shit whether his bloke got the ball. If you have 21 other blokes putting their nuts on the block and playing a great, contested brand of tough footy for 4 quarters then you see that.... You would want to kill him as a team mate.

I like them both.

'Apparently' (I haven't seen it) but Pittard absolutely tore him a new one when Stringer kicked his 2nd goal of the last term.

Obviously converting your scoring opportunities into GOALs on the scoreboard is the major key to winning games of footy.
That being said, why dont players when theyre having set shots from that close in just fully concentrate on using the 30 seconds to do what theyre there to do? Kick the bloody goal, instead of looking around trying to pass off and shirk the responsibility of kicking the goal.
Boak wasted 15 seconds looking for another option and then clearly rushed his kick resulting in a deflating miss FFS !

It would rip your heart out as a team mate. I heard it on the radio and they were irate calling the game and hadn't seen it until tonight. The second one he didn't even bother chasing him. That's not even worth dropping him back to SANFL, that's pulling him aside and asking him if he is being serious. If you're not you can **** off. That's what has been hurting Port for almost 2 years. Don't need shit like that from an experienced player who should be bouncing out of his skin after missing the best part of 12 months.

Very harsh but gotta start being critical otherwise Port's talent and opportunity to do something with this group will pass by quicker than a blink of an eye.

Me and him both. I saw Jasper crack it at Polec, I was doing the same. Whilst he lost him in traffic and wasn't going to stop him he didn't even chase. Was another terrible defensive effort from Polec. He simply must work both ways or he's out. Unfortunately our depth is an issue and we've got Ah Chee or Amon to replace him and not much else.

Paul Stewart is copping a bad wrap for his game, I felt for him, fighting out of his weight division and got beat in the 3 most crucial contests of the day that he was involved in. No third man up to help him so while he was the player under the most heat he needed some support from the third man in a couple of those contests.

All in all, we made a good side play well to beat us and while I don't think we'll make the 8 ( I think the Eagles are no certainty though ) I think we might help shape it by pushing some sides above us.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!
