Port Adelaide 2016

Talk on the national game

I mentioned it earlier that I thought Port had the mentality that they just needed to turn up to win after listening to Impey, what do you think Booney? (serious question)

They're not in your best 22

Dont think you can really count Jonas either as he is suspended by his own stupidity

That's not the point.

Right at the moment that list are unavailable, whether it be injury or suspension they aren't out there at AFL or SANFL level. If three of them were playing SANFL I'd grant you that but not being out there at all means there is zero pressure from below for spots.

If Ryder was playing AFL and Lobbe was playing SANFL and going well, there's competition. If Monfries was playing AFL and Neade or Young were playing well at SANFL level, there's competition for the spot. At the moment, there simply isn't. If Carlile was playing AFL and Clurey or Jonas were playing well at SANFL level, there's competition for the spot.

Right now we have a team, our best 22, I truly believe is capable of playing finals football, our squad isn't even close though.

I didn't hear the interview in question, so hard to comment.

Won't matter.
Hinkley will get another season, unless it goes really bad after the break.

I too think Hinkley will be there, give him at least a season or two with a full compliment of players but my guess is Stuart Dew would be next in line.

See my comments on the previous page, people saying it's the coaches fault are off the mark or just trolling, I can pick which is which.

10 days ago the system pushed a then top 4 side to play well and win by just 3 points. Last year it beat Hawthorn twice, no other coach managed that.

Who said anythings the coach's fault since your comments on the previous page? I can't find any comments that do.

Why would people troll/ask who the next coach is if they aren't pinning this on Hinkley?

Because it's an interesting footy talking point on a footy forum. It would be interesting to see how Dew went if he eventually got the job.
Unless Hinkley is going to live forever and be appointed until the sun blows up?
Do you not want us talk about what's happening next week too, is this somehow politically incorrect also discussing things that may happen?

Just like radio that you don't like which you don't have to listen to, you don't have to discuss things here that you take completely the wrong way.
Are you related to Germain Greer by any chance? :?

Settle boon, your a bit testy this morning and Daisy has hardly posted.

I think most people believe Hinkley will be there next season to give him a chance with a full compliment of players. But as Wedgie said its an interesting discussion in terms of personnel out there.

Personally I dont think its the coach either, I think its all about work rate. Its just no there at the moment. Also you Ruck problem is massive and you mids arent working hard enough.

As far as I can see Hinkley is in the job and hasn't been sacked or retired, correct?

Dew might get the job at Sydney when Longmire steps down, Nicks might get the job at Collingwood, all about as relevant.

It's easy to ignore the blatant trolls, although I'm nibbling this morning.

That's why the discussion is a moot point, but hey, let the kids play.

We have all said Hinkley will coach for at least the next or two.

The one I would like to mention (sorry Booney) is Voss, since coaching wherever he has been there has been little or no success

Agree Stan, im not trolling (if that was direected at me Booney)

My opinion is the coach isn't the problem, so my opinion is the discussion isn't worth having, just like their opinion is to discuss who the next coach may be. Surely we're all entitled to that opinion and if I don't agree with someone's I can challenge it as they can mine?

UK won't be in, he's got another week before his crowd guess is way off the mark. ;)
