He's saying he hasn't seen Norwood with Jefferies, Cachia, Panos, Chippendale, and Ferreira back in the side.
Not saying Norwood would beat the Eagles, but it wouldn't be a walkover either.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Yeah, you can also add no AFL Crows or Power games to that reason too.

Plus no amateur competition football being played.

Off topic, but Glenelg, Port and even North could still all win the wooden spoon.

West still have Norwood, Port and Adelaide to play. WIn all three and I am almost certain they won't win the spoon.

His coaching record in finals.

Topsy, just been an observer in recent years.
Some considerations.
The league flag in those/these days was/is as always is the Number 1 priority.
In the 50/60/70/80's,they only got 4 real flags in 40 plus years.,
They probably got 15 junior flags, wow, and who cares or remembers.
the old let's win junior premierships with this team hardly helped the premierships that counted later on.
They only hit less than the average for A's for all the clubs over 45 odd years.
Lately the U18's pushed up their best players to the reserves and league,Aish,Forster, etc etc looking to the future.
All the clubs now do this.
Once in the finals I remember the best mid fielder being kept as an injury back up for the reserves the next day.
Also injuries also pulled out U18 players in finals (As all grades needed to full teams impacting down to the U18's).
A number of the opposition U18 clubs had no Seconds or/and league playing,at the time,
guess where their best 18's played!
IMHO just trying to give another picture of the situation as it was, only history though.
Anyway,David must be pleased to be assisting with the top club in 2016 after a premiership with his U18 team In 2015.
Good luck to Norwood and Sturt.

To show how crowds are dwindling I found the following details from 4 seasons ago :

North Adelaide vs Norwood ... Round: 11 Venue: Prospect Oval Date: Sat, 09-06-2012 2:10 pm Crowd: 4,134.

This game was against a live broadcast also.

Norwood were top and unbeaten, North were fighting for a place in the five at the time.

Should we therefore accept that Sunday's crowd was indeed a great result. I don't believe so.
