**** I hated 'Touch of Elegance', whilst I accept it was pitched not at me but squarely at 50 year old and above try-hard snobs.

Here is Try-hard snob extraordinaire and regular host Margaret Glazbrook having the piss extracted by a couple of no-name Scot comedians in 1989.

I didn't have time to even notice anything else,,. ;)

(It was a Golden Age all you whipper-snappers have missed.)

Go on, you know you want to tell us about that raunchy night at Jules after a cask of sparkling Renmano when you chatted up Abigail whilst holding hands with Germaine Greer who at the same time secretly pinched Junie Morosi's bum.

I never went to Jules, and would never have drunk Renmano!!
Similarly the women in my life were nurses, teachers, social workers, etc.

Reality TV before we knew that it existed, and that it is founded on the lifestyles of bogans.

Noeline Donaher, the mad cashed-up bogan matriarch around which it centred. Proof that money can't buy you class.

I began to suspect she was Mosad when we visited her Nuclear Physicist father who was working in SA and she said the following.
"Dad, I've been instructed to tell you there are unlimited funds for your research available in Israel."

He left a month after she did.

Everything about this clip screams 1986. Except the "Chilly Willy" cartoon at the end.

Getting your new Greg Chappell Cricket Centre catalogue or walking down into the old Rowe and Jarman store on the south side of Grenfell St and seeing the most expensive bat for under $150 (GN GC Master Scoop)

2016-17 GCCC Catalogue has the GN Momentum Pure - $995

Your first pair of pads had buckles on them....

I still own my first pair of pads. Pair of County pads that my grandfather bought me and he got them signed by the great DK Lillee

Buckles and no extra padding on those things

From memory in was in the shop next to Cibo, which last I remember housed a sushi train.
