Said it when Port have been bashed from pillar to post, I reckon we can expect these sorts of deals to become the new normal.

Reckon the difference is there is plenty out there that reckon Hartlett isn't worth the deal - same as when Mackay signed for 4 years.
Jenkins seems well worth it.

All subjective, he's played 80 games and just stitched up a $2.5m deal for the next 5 years. Plenty would question that.
Better the devil you know and we will see more and more of these for, lets call them, middle tier players and not just the top tier as it once was.

I think the risk is low considering his last 2-3 years so well worth it on that coin when other key forwards are commanding closer to $750k putting up those stats at that age.
Time will tell.
I think the key is to keep the structure the same so he can play the same role.

Wasn't that long ago people complained about the money paid for Betts they've changed their minds I guess .
At least Jenkins is signed not another Tippet and Dangerfield that just go through the motions in their last year at the crows
Reckon Jenkins has more class even with certain vic media guys complaining about the number of goals he kicks in the 15 metre area
