If the SFL ends up as a 12 team competition next year sans Bombers and Twisties, do you go top 5 or top 6 for finals? Looking at the current ladder, I would think a top 5 would be the way to go. A cracker finals series with Emus, Bushpigs, Flies, Shoes and Cockles.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Personal opinion but I think the Cockles are a step below the other four.

Are they brothers ? if so has this happened before.

2 brothers, 2 cousins (3 fathers overall)

Wasn't there 4x Hanna brothers playing for Noarlunga in the early 80s?

How did I forget . Sean/Frank/Brendan/Owen/Patrick/Chris/Alan/Damien/Bill . :)

I think you are getting brothers, nephews and fathers all mixed up there SB. ;)

I wonder with Brighton leaving the SFL if young Sam Jones will now play at the Shoe to follow in his father Pencil Jones's foot steps and join the dynasty of father and sons that already play down there.

After speaking with the family I think that Sam is firmly entrenched at Brighton although apparently his Dad would love to see him in Shoe colours.

Yes good round this week, I for one am looking forward to venturing down to Emu Park as we host the Falcons, we have improved a fair bit from round 3 and will be close to full strength I would think so will be interesting to see how we go.

A huge day planned at the Shoe with the big derby against Port Noarlunga .

Premiership reunion with sides from 2014/2001/1991/1986/1982/1970 a day of memories and laugh's with good numbers attending the day and night. :partyman:

A little bit of tweaking and wouldn't this look like a good comp every week. :-?

Tough week on selections...... Good weather, should see some good footy this weekend.

Cove to sew up 8th spot with a very tight win, the drums already beating to bring back Cratey getting louder if Saints lose.
Emus over injury plagued bushpigs - also tight 2-3 goal. Smith v Icjeesen??
Wineys by 12 points, game of the round.
Noarlunga to account for Porties then turn on a all night bender for reunion - 30 points.
Valley to outlast struggling Lions - 35 points

Congratulations to Aaron De Reuver, or "Rage" as he's known for playing his 200th A grade game for Marion tomorrow.

Champion bloke on and off the field. Great to see his loyalty to the club where he has played all of his football from juniors through to seniors.

Morphy parks SAAFL bound in 2017. We have had our ups and downs over the last 30 years but it has been enjoyable. We take plenty of good memories with us and I'm sure some clubs will be sad to see us go. Others, you have got your wish. One club without Saturday juniors gone.

Whilst I am supportive of the decision of you to leave, and think you have made the right decision, from a senior football point of view you will be missed. Have always enjoyed playing against you with some cracker games along the way + you W&D have been one of the friendliest club administrators around.

Sincerely all the best and good luck to the club, hope it is a successful move for you.

Won't miss the pasty tho :D

A possible Grand Final preview set up for next Sunday @ Reynella, Reynella v Emus, both had good results yesterday.
How is the Reynella oval holding up with the wet weather?

Grand Final preview??? Whoa hold your horses Spot On, i reckon Flaggies, Brighton and Noarlunga will have a thing or two to say about that. Although the results were interesting on the weekend. It sets up a huge final 3 rounds. I reckon MVale gauranteed top spot now. Apart from this.week coming.they have a soft run home due to spot finished last year

Great day at the Shoe with a bumper crowd entertained by the local derby and some old faces from past premierships .

Well done to all involved to thank those who have left their foot print for the lads today . =D>

Yes Luke 15, maybe getting a bit ahead of things, certainly only 5 or 6 teams with a real chance, M/V, Reynella, Flagstaff, B/B, Noarlunga and maybe Morphy Parks.
Time will tell.

Yes pretty soft run we have Reynella this week and M/Parks at the Pasty in the next 2 weeks but granted Hackham to freshen up in the last. Another good performance last week, Flaggies not at full strength and really looked to struggle with a windy day and a different Morphy side to what they have played the last couple of times.
Reynella at there dung hole was a complete drubbing last year, copped what Brighton did this week so will be an interesting encounter.
