In before ' Redlegs rooted the SANFL'. Can't argue there.

LOL. Go back to talking about Port Crowds. The league was rooted long before then. The Vics sucked us in badly from 1987 on.

Yes it was the redlegs that single handly rooted the SANFL.

Good to the that the reserves issues has now made its way to the AFL boards as well.

A couple careers ended by Hinkley this week. Those of Schulz and Mitchell.
Replaced by Amon and Krakouer.

Also highly unlikely that Dixon will play again this season giving Butcher 5 weeks to earn another contract.

Big call with Schultz if true, limits tall forward options/depth next year. Port will need to draft a tall forward.

Might feel they get the same if not better with Butcher playing that role?

Must say Schultz has struggled to fire a shot since his return, I'm not surprised.

The Sarge is done, unfortunately. A shame, he is one of my favourite Port players.

Butcher will earn another contract, as outside of Dixon, all we have is Westhoff and Howard, Howard missing at least 2/3 of 2017 as he recovers from his knee reconstruction.

Port need to be drafting key forwards over the next 2-3 years, not just this draft.

Gut feel is Schulz will go another year. Missed 15 weeks with back surgery, rushed back as we were desperate for talls, probably needed at least 3 in the SANFL, not one. Was a sign of where we were at not so much him.

Mitchell surprises me as Rich was good last week, thought he'd get that job.

Generally daisy is on the mark with his Port info.

Need to a defensive fwd for that role. If no Mitchell then who would get the gig. I think last week showed how important it is to shut him down.

If you tag Rich you take him out the game completely, I think its been shown several times this year that Rich cant handle a tag

Mitchell isn't good enough for AFL. Taggers these days need to be able to shut down their player and still get 20 odd touches going the other way. Brad Ebert can play that role in the midfield.

Mitchell isn't, you're right, but he did get 24 the other week and kept Cotchin to 14. It's his lack of penetration in his kicking that lets him down the most.
