One more year?

I thought finished, to be honest. He does have a year to go on his contract, however the rise of Hombsch as a key defender, the promise of young Austin and the reasonable form of Clurey I thought we had enough big men back. Throw in Trengove and Jonas and we've got plenty.

Also consider the match ups that the likes of Carlile can play on now and there really isn't many.

Port magpies might want him

I actually agree with this..
No Martin, Bewick, Schache or Gardiner - they should flog the Lions, and if they don't it, it could be the end for Hinkley.

No Hombsch, Trengove ( playing out of position ), Ryder, Dixon and Schulz struggling after 16 weeks on his back. Basically all key position men not in their positions.

its certain that if port fail next year he is gone

if so does kenny ever coach again? if kenny leaves now his reputation is not dented, except that he said never give up but he did

would gold coast dump eade for kenny, does kenny have the energy in him anymore to develop a 3 year infrastructure to build a finals/premiership side again? looks tired to me

if port bring in stewie dew, dean brogran and a victorian specialist tactical coach in october would next year look so bleak? would next year be on such a knife's edge

You're judging him on this year when he's not even been close to having the full list at his disposal, is that right?

You're making excuses now mate, Port have shown at stages this season that they still are capable of winning, and they should still be good enough to account for Brisbane.

Ryder & Schultz have hardly played this year, Hombsch has missed however many games, and Trengove has been out of position most of the season. Dixon is the only real one that is a significant loss to the playing group in recent weeks.

Excuses? Take the key men from one end to the other out of most sides in the middle of the table and see how they go.

We've seen Ports squad doesn't have the depth to be a premiership contender right now, finishing mid table is where we are at. You don't agree?

can anyone actually see kenny coaching past next year finals or no finals? how many years in job now?

they obviously need a huge culling down port, especially assistant coaches plus butcher, schultz mitchell etc etc and most of all voss

but lets say they keep kenny, refresh every other position below him, then next year they do not make finals, kenny will have to go

then what, a new coach comes in and all these new assistants will have to go with kenny. they barely got 12 months in the job

Probably not this year but massive disappointments last year and should of played finals.
If they can't get into finals next year then either the coach goes or a massive rebuild has to happen

So this side is good enough to nearly beat Hawthorn (minus Dixon), but if you lose to Brisbane then you roll out this line?!

How many of those names above have played in winning games this year, or played against Hawthorn or in games when the Power have performed?

Port should beat Brisbane, end of story - if they don't then questions should be rightfully asked.

Not sure the problem is the coach but more the list manager.
Fancy signing Butcher to one more year and not moving Carslile on after last year. Oh and the talk of signing Monfries for one more...
Now if Kenneth has the final say on those three...then he's in trouble

if the whole plan is just to make a few adjustments so they can make finals next year, then all they are doing is copying north melbourne top ups style

what about 2018, 2019?
