Yep. How dare any credit whatsoever go to the opposition who played awesome cricket after being dominated on day one.

If anything it's shameful and gutless of CA and Australian curators that we produce absolute roads that don't turn, so there's no hope of any Aus batsmen being able to cope properly when it actually spins. Also deterring any young Aussie actually wanting to be a spinner when you're just going to be fodder in the domestic comps.

Credit where credits due the Sri Lankans were outstanding the last 3 days and then we were f**king pathetic. I'm so f**ked off with Australia's performance. Losing a test match after bowling an opponent out for only 117 in their first innings is simply unacceptable. Our blokes need take a long hard look at themselves.

Oh come off it.
It's ******* disgraceful!
Top order batted disgracefully both innings and our bowlers bowled tripe in the second innings. Embarassing that Nevill and a injured SOK can bat for so long and with all the patience in the world whilst the guys at the top treat it like a T20. Some of our dismissals you would be ashamed of in club cricket, how about valuing your wicket and trying to grind out a knock?

I'm not saying we played well, but if it wasn't for mendis we still win this game easy.

Smith's dismissal in the first innings was one of the more pathetic dismissals in test cricket.

That sounds like an excuse to me.
If Mendis failed in the 2nd dig and Aust won, it would only have been covering over the cracks.
Australian batting for the match was PATHETIC, HEARTLESS and SPINELESS
If they cant beat one of Sri Lankas worst teams since they were admitted to Test cricket now, then what hope have they of beating India and Pakistan when they play them on the Sub Continent again?

It's stupid that our top 5 batsman go out slogging and the bottom few are the ones scrapping for the runs. We should have won this easily with sensible batting in the 2nd dig.

Anyone know when the next the next test starts?

Is the SOK injury bad enough that he is definitely out?

Does Holland come in as the only change?

The second test starts on Thursday.

SOK is definitely out next test.

No idea what our 11 will be but from what they've indicated Holland will be our 444th capped player.

Marsh is just a liability at 6. He's never done enough at any level of cricket to justify that spot. 25 with the bat in tests isn't good enough for number 7, let along number 6. And the worst thing is that's about right for a bloke with a first class average of 30. If his bowling is so important, then he earns number 8 and he plays ahead of a specialist bowler. But he bowled 9 overs last game. 9 overs where we lost one bowler during the game. Until we have a number 6 who contributes regularly enough we're always going to be far more susceptible to a batting collapse. Lucky at the moment we have a top 5 who average 46, 50, 47, 60 and 87 which hides Marsh's awful contribution in most circumstances. But then something like this happens, you need a middle order and out walks the tail.
