Just sayin ;)

Different finals system then, since the current version was introduced the premier has been no lower than 3rd on the ladder at the end of the minor round.
Top 2 win the flag 75% of the time.
3rd 25%
4th and below 0%

Also, Crows would've been out of the Finals after week 1 in 1998 if it were under the current system. Pretty sure they changed the system the next year because of it.

It turned out the crows losing in that first week was a good thing for them.

Would have been better for all of us if they'd lost in the last week.

Hawks 60pts 124.3% – Melbourne, North, WCE, Collingwood - 0 losses
GWS 52 pts 142% – Suns, WCE, Freo, North - maybe 1 loss
Sydney 52 pts 140% – Port, Saints, North, Richmond - 0 losses
Geelong 52 pts 133.1% - Essendon, Richmond, Brisbane, Melbourne - 0 losses, all likely to be big wins
Adelaide 52 pts 133% - Brisbane, Freo, Port, WCE - maybe 1 loss

We need to win big in every game to have any chance of making the top 4. I think we'll play Elimination Final v North at AO in the first week of the finals.

I still think it's wide open. If either Geelong or Sydney get held to a close low scoring game, it will have a huge effect on their percentage.

Reckon GWS finish second but I think we can get third. Just gotta home Essendon and Brisbane have a decent crack at Geelong. And I'll barrack for port against Sydney :)

They also wouldn't have played away from home to the 4th team on the ladder either.

It looked kinda cool.

But I just find it funny how it's like Vic media never knew who he was until he played for a Victorian club

That's because Geelong are a real football club and not a soulless corporation formed to spite Port Adelaide.
