Also, Crows would've been out of the Finals after week 1 in 1998 if it were under the current system. Pretty sure they changed the system the next year because of it.

It turned out the crows losing in that first week was a good thing for them.

Looking at the top 4 sides and their fixtures it'll be tough to make the top 4 for us.
Hawks 60pts 124.3% – Melbourne, North, WCE, Collingwood - 0 losses
GWS 52 pts 142% – Suns, WCE, Freo, North - maybe 1 loss
Sydney 52 pts 140% – Port, Saints, North, Richmond - 0 losses
Geelong 52 pts 133.1% - Essendon, Richmond, Brisbane, Melbourne - 0 losses, all likely to be big wins
Adelaide 52 pts 133% - Brisbane, Freo, Port, WCE - maybe 1 loss

We need to win big in every game to have any chance of making the top 4. I think we'll play Elimination Final v North at AO in the first week of the finals.

I still think it's wide open. If either Geelong or Sydney get held to a close low scoring game, it will have a huge effect on their percentage.


Reckon GWS finish second but I think we can get third. Just gotta home Essendon and Brisbane have a decent crack at Geelong. And I'll barrack for port against Sydney
