Agreed. Although I think the standard of the league has dropped away a bit this season.

What do people think AV have to do to get up to a reasonable standard?

Pretty self explanatory I would've thought.

Are you saying you wouldn't have a 200-game league player in your B grade side?
I'd have him in the A's at the drop of a hat, let alone the B's

Oh haha sorry.. Well after having a quick look at the reserves ladder, Two Wells are two games out of the 4 and HWE are likely to sew up fourth spot against Angle Vale this weekend. With Wells A grade side a look for fourth spot with two games to play before finals, it wouldn't be worth putting him in the A grade without being available for finals and I'd suggest he just hasn't been available for the past couple of seasons due to his assistant coaching role at Norwood

Correction - if Balaklava can beat Virginia this week in the reserves, it'll be a play off for fourth spot in the last game of the season

He retired from footy to take up a assistant coaching role with Norwood, reason for his unavailability the last couple years. But still catches up with all the boys regularly and is keen for a kick and a few beers.

Balak 40-39
HWE 80+
Mal 80+
Two Wells 1-39

Huge game tomorrow betwen Virginia and Balaklava, with the winner to secure second spot and the double chance. I think Balaklava will get it done. Interested to see if Pollock plays, he went off screaming with a shoulder last week but miraculously reappeared 5 minutes later. If Pollock has a big day Virginia are a chance with Young and Lipari to come in from last week's team.

Surely Hamley Bridge Junior colts kicking 1.27 was a stuff up entrering into sporting pulse, no?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Going on what I've heard from people involved with United, albeit not committee members as far as I'm aware, I don't think the club will be getting rid of him anytime soon. Obviously a very well credentialed coach and has bought players with him.
Hopefully with both United and Hummocks on the improve, the league will no longer be just a top 4 league as it has been in recent years

Reading the Producer today and had a read of Harry Taylors comments regarding playing at Angle Vale. Didn't hold back much.
Can't say I disagree with any of it though after playing there the week before.
I think its great that he is able to put such honest feedback in print media and freely convey his opinion. Well done!
