Maybe they play Head as the second spinner and number 7 bat?

In the Test match?

They may as well give him a crack... Can't be any worse than the blokes getting a game and he can wheel down 5-10 overs if needed.

Number 6....

It's what I thought as soon as he was named.

Reckon we would be better off finding someone that averages 40 with both bat and ball.

Could travis head be that guy?

Maybe the selectors are listening to me :)

Maybe you should be a selector?

So they take a punt and rush Head over there to join the squad which is fantastic as he is the future, I wish they did the same for one of our young spinners instead of John Holland.

I'm still flummoxed that Zampa didn't get picked.
What was the reason given?
Surely we should expose him to the dry dusties over there?

I just watched a video on Cricket Australia about the lead up to the third test starting tomorrow and the narrator mentioned that Boof said Travis Head will not be considered for selection this week, as he is just there to train with the ODI squad. I couldn't find if they had quoted Boof saying that in any of the recent CA news articles covering this test series.

Shaun Marsh will play if Voges isn't right. They seem pretty keen to get Marsh in there.

Shaun Marsh is the only specialist batsman on standby, with coach Darren Lehmann already ruling out a Test debut for young-gun Travis Head who joined up with the squad ahead of the one-day international series.

I saw the interview. I don't think HE believes he's not ready, its what he's been told.
If he doesnt play test cricket this summer we aren't trying.
