Melbourne are a very good team to watch when their skills are up, which they have been recently.

Reckon they play finals next year

Wow Port look like a pretty broken team at the moment! Their performances over the last couple of weeks take me back, maybe not quite to the Port of 2011 and 2012 where they were totally uncompetitive, but certainly seasons 2008 2009 and 2010. I'm usually extremely nervous about showdowns, but I really can't see Port getting close. I reckon we'll have the majority of the crowd in spite of it being a Port home game.

Gee looking at those games coming up, it might come down to the last week for 8th spot! Geelong very rarely lose at home though, so Melbourne could well miss by one game-the loss to Essendon kills them.

Honestly the game Melbourne dropped against Essendon, the one they let get away with us and then North as well. Go back and loo at there season they should be playing finals. If they dont play finals next seasn the entire coach staff should go.

And so they should. At some point the amount of talent in that side has to come good. Lead by probably the best ruckmen in the comp they should be playing finals.

Honestly after all of the early first round picks and then add guys they have got in on as well they have alot of talent. This sort of od form should be the norm for them going forward and finals should be a minimum for them next year.

Actually I thought your endeavour was ok at times but christ you killed yourself with those turnovers. Foot skills were just so bad tha you probably gifted Melbourne 4 or 5 in that first half.

You've got to be kidding. SANFL dominance, AFL entry, not having to share your AFL team entry, AFL Premiership....and you're mid table and now you're done?? 20 years ago when they still covered the SANFL 5aa used to perpetuate something I called "The Port Myth". Part of this was that "Port have the most loyal fans in the league" what bullshit, when you win the flag every year of course you'll get the crowds. Anyone who jumps off the Power now just confirms my thoughts from back then.

Port fans have had it bloody good. I put your post down to being "tired and emotional" ;)

Come on dude buck up! imagine barracking for South, Richhmond, Melbourne or St Kilda!

Decent win for the Hawks but try putting in a quarter like that second one against a good side in the finals and it'll be good night Irene. Thought Burton showed a bit, the kid can play. Smith was best for the Hawks by a street. Cunnington was brilliant for the Roos, the stats might argue otherwise but he was, from Level 4 viewing, the bloke who did a hell of a lot of hard and selfless work.
Off to the G soon to watch two of the modern great forwards Kersten and Vickery.
