Off-field dramas and player revolt at Broadies. Coach forced to quit or the players would walk.

In the rules of the game is that a ball up?

Also is it a free kick in the SAAFL of a ball is punched through the sticks on the full as a rushed behind from a ball up?

No free in the SAAFL

Well I'll be ******! Rulebook gave us a free (and goal) for that last year.....

Should have bought a lotto ticket after.

Surprised he didn't sell you a raffle ticket at the time.

With 1 game to go? Players couldn't just ride it out for 1 more?
Have there been issues all season?

May get interesting, who knows a new coach may well come in and clean some of the players out in any case.

From memory Weed only signed on for a one year deal at the commencement of this season

Player unrest can't be good going into a game which will decide whether you guys get relegated or not?

I rate him highly, is a great guy who always takes the time out to have a chat, to be honest hasn't had the cattle on the park often enough to get decent results. Hell he even pulls on the boots and plays in our C Grade most weeks.

I for one will be disappointed if he leaves

Being the guy who led us to a div 1 flag 13 years ago, he's always welcome up the road at klemzig too. Was always a very well liked bloke around the club, and respected by the playing group.

Sounds like the new coach won't have to change colours

Having worked with Weed closely over the last 3 years I've seen how committed to the club and players he was.He has given his all and didn't get the reward for effort he deserved.Personally I think the points saga hanging over the groups head took its toll taking 16 weeks to get a final outcome. All the best Weed in your next role.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Just stopped at Camden Oval....not sure how the SAAFL could 'approve' this ground considering the surface conditions. Would of thought Broadview and Old Igs might be ringing SAAFL today and seeking an alternative venue......
