yeah I reckon Brad last played there in 2006 and hasn't quite made it back to Karoonda.
Quinny has been there since 2012 so F**K your jocks must stink and may have a skiddy or two but take the humorous point you are making.

Bandit does have a point. I can name 12 who have played for both clubs over the past three years. It is not hard to see why a small country club would target a bigger close town to find players. There are also some players from Karoonda who have joined Mannum to test themselves in the bigger league. Cant see a problem with this.

Wasn't really actually having a crack at the Bandit, FTO. Have never actually danced a jig at the situation but have long since come to conclusion that it is what it is. It was more the point that the two nominated specifically are not great examples of blokes habitually swapping between Karoonda and Mannum.

Not sure if he is or isnt...mallee league flags with a dominant playing list dont tell you how good a coach he really is...plus he walked into a solid encounter bay outfit this year who were well drilled from previous coach, so again im not sure how much credit he actually deserves.

What was he like at developing players and teams from lower ladder positions or never had the chance?

Five years at Keith in the KNTFL where he took them from fifth to four GFs for two flags, still can't go past Pilmore as the best going around.

A few clearances are starting to come thru, looks like it could be another long season for Tailem with a lot of recruits leaving. I am glad to see that as at least we should get a few wins against them this year as we will probably struggle to be competitive with the top sides again.

Tailem bend will need to find some recruits soon.

Mypolonga are losing lindsay and the hooper brothers back to encounter bay...any word if billy is staying on as coach?

Timmy sumner leaving imps for where?

Looks like a lot of quality players leaving the league at the moment with not too many coming in via transfers page just yet, several teams could drop off considerably whilst mannum look set to be a strong unit again at this early stage.

Bit quiet on here recently, anyone got views on how the season may unfold?

It appears with the salary cap, the competition will probably be more even this year, and we should see less blow outs.

I wont predict a ladder, but looking at the clubs:

*Mannum and Imps look to be slightly weaker

*Meningie have as good a first 5 players as anyone in the league, but dont have the depth theyve had in the last 3 years

*Tailem's top-end talent has picked up, but may struggle if they receive significant injuries

*Mypo appear to have recruited well, and will be pushing for a Grand Final spot

*Ramblers will probably be competing for 5th spot with Jervois & Tailem

*Jervois have picked up some good talent but again may not have the depth of the top 3 or 4 clubs. Definite chance for 5th spot though.

*Grand Finalists - Mannum & Mypo

*Leading Goalkicker - Moss

*Standard Medallist - Fenton

My thoughts and predictions on the upcoming season...league overall to drop off slightly with more quality leaving than coming in at this stage.

Mannum still the team to beat
Mypo if their recruits live up to their name can challenge

Imps, ramblers and meningie all fighting for third

Jervois and tailem set to battle it out yet again for the spoon.

I think it could be a mypo mannum gf also
Love to win the goal kicking if he goes forward if not then moss
Bowen again for the medal

Was at the Tailem vs Broadview game over the weekend.
Fairly soild game for both teams. There was a few spot fires throughout the whole game.
Tailem got up by 4 points in the end.
From what I could tell, both teams were missing players.

Hows everyone shaping up for round 1? Most people have written Ramblers of this year but we will surprise a few teams. May take a few weeks but signs are good and numbers have never been better. I reckon we can get up over Mypo this week, Mannum will have a win over Imps in a close one and Meningie will give the Bluds a bath. Thats right a blood bath

It's been very quiet in here but things seem to be hotting up now. Still early in the season but it's no longer a one horse race for Mannum.

Things aren't going too good in the RMFL if these results are anything to go by.

Ramblers - 30.18-198 - Tailem Bend - 4.2-26
Mannum - 28.16-184 - Mypolonga - 0.2-2
