Dont like seeing any player get rubbed out for a granny unless they have commited an absolute thug act but all 3 of these guys are in serious trouble. If the tribunal is consistent then they all should get an extra match added to there prescribed penalties for challenging. From what i saw of the incidents it would be hard to argue against the reports but as its finals on the line i understand why clubs are challenging as they have nothing to lose.

I expect suspended sentences will be handed out.

Punched by a spectator?? real good for the association that pays $$$$$$$ for security, and a club who wouldn't cough him up, people who throw stones shouldn't live in glass houses.

WOW, steady up boys, it was a good, hard physical game of footy with abit of banter, nothing new about that, both Parish and Pollock had a chat after the game and another chat at the Association night and they both agreed it was just part of the game. The runner is fine, he just asked the spectator to help him straighten his nose, that's all, unfortunately the spectator took it the wrong way, but seriously, this incident should not have happened and I would hope that this is still being investigated by the league. Unfortunate outcome for Sparksy but this story is hopefully not over yet, Bring on this weeks matches, should be absolute crackers

Questions need to be asked on Umpire selection. Clearly one of the umpires selected for Saturday's game is not in the right frame of mind to umpire at that level. The board should be questioning the process in which BJ selects umpires for the rest of the finals. Can't understand how a full blown knee to the head 2 metres in front of an umpire can get acquitted due to conflicting evidence. It either says the jury is corrupt or the umpire in question is as dumb on the field as off! Mind blowing

Prelim finals

A - Virginia vs Two Wells
B - Mallala vs Hummocks
SC - Balaklava vs Angle Vale
JC - Balaklava vs Angle Vale

My tips : Virginia, Hummocks, Angle Vale & Balaklava

Corruption: Dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery:

Scuba, are you implying that Mallala may have contributed to the hip pockets of the MRP in some way to get this player off ????? Galic's charge with his record also got dismissed ????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

It's serious stuff to allege corruption per se.

But it was staggering to see Sparks get weeks and the other two get thrown out.

Sparks was the lesser incident out of all three and will miss two, unless an appeal is upheld.

Very hard to explain!
