you make it sound like we are the only place in the world with electric trains there wedgie :D

Nah but we seem to be the ones with the power system that keeps ******* up.

exactly. we arent exactly breaking new ground with the electric trains, yet somehow we havent learned from other peoples experiences. how do other jurisdictions prevent their systems being shut down when there is a little bit of wind?

Theres Liberal Party advertising crap - "Vote Liberal in both Houses" - still up on a pole in my local park (next to where voting booth was) - 2 months after the election!

Visual pollution, no excuses for it being up 2 months later, a hefty fine should apply.

yep, ive seen the odd sign still up. not just liberal stuff either.

no reason they should have them up at all tbh. in this day and age there are surely other means for them to get their faces out there. although i suppose it gives all the party hacks something to fill their time with.

Family First Senator for SA Bob Day in hot water over his company's building practices accused of ripping off customers.

A HOME-building company owned by a senator, who’s paid a salary of nearly $200,000 from the public purse, has been accused of ripping off clients.

Consumer Affairs Victoria is investigating complaints about Ashford Homes, owned by South Australian Family First senator Bob Day.

Clients have complained of long delays, defective works, and “unfair” contract terms.

Many said they now had two mortgages they could not afford, after delays of up to six months. Some have begun a Facebook page: “Bob Day — Stop the Building Nightmare”.

Senator Day defended his company’s record, saying wet weather over the past year was a significant reason for delays.

Many customers have signed contracts that include compensation of only $1 a week for delays; the industry standard is $250 a week.

Clients have complained of:

DEFECTIVE works and failures to fix faults;

HIGH staff turnover; one client reported four different site managers; and

AN INABILITY to provide a completion time upon request.

Ha ha, it wouldn't have been an issue in the old station before they built it up. Gotta love progress.
I bet the diselels kept running after the blackout though.
Bus to Port Adelaide half an hour before the black out was fine. ;)
